Day 1 (Friday)
6:00 - Alarm goes off. Rollover to turn it off and start to scroll through Instagram until I’m ready to get up. My full bladder is screaming at me for relief but I decide a few more minutes in bed is worth it...
6:20 - I’m at my boyfriend’s house so I laid out my outfit and all my morning routine necessities in the bathroom the night before to make things a bit easier. Go through my glamorous morning routine: sitting on the toilet for far too long while scrolling Instagram, wash face with Cetaphil gentle cleanser, brush teeth, The Ordinary Squalane serum, Neutrogena clear face sunscreen. No contacts for me today as one of mine ripped last night. While it was IN MY EYE. How fucking rude is that??? Glasses it is. Put on my thrifted, mid-waisted, black jeans with buttons exposed/knee rips and an old Smoky the bear shirt from Target. Tuck the shirt in to make it feel like I have my shit together.
6:47 - I usually leave around 7 so I have some time to get back into bed and cuddle C before I have to head out.
6:49 - I LOVE THIS MAN :(
7:05 - rip myself away from C, throw on my trusty Ralph Lauren jean jacket, and my fave open toed, cork sandals I got from Rome a few years back. Throw my shit in the car, queue up the NPR podcast Ask Me Another, and I’m on my waaaayyyyyyyy! This is such a funny podcast! I love laughing on my way to work. It tricks me into having a great start to my day!
7:25 - SHIT. A car is flipped onto its side right off my exit. I think I’m smart and switch to another lane to turn right instead of left and as expected the lane I just switched from moves and the lane I switched to doesn’t. Why does this happen all the time??!?! Another lesson in patience
7:30 - a nice lady let’s me over and I’m back on mmyyyy waaaayyyyyy! Also, hope the person is okay...
7:35 - make it into the office, get some coffee and add my non dairy creamer, fill up my reusable water bottle, and get started for the day
8:13 - hair is frizzy as shit...go to bathroom and try to fix it by tying it into a half pony. I’ll be self conscious about this all day and probs redo it a few different times throughout the day. This is what I get for not applying hair serum after my shower last night!!!!!!
8:30 work wife is in! She’s working from a different office today but it’s still nice to chat with her in the am to catch up. This girl knows everything about me and we barely (never) hangout outside of work!
9:50 - data needed to do work came in super late today. So spent my time between articles, money diaries, and texting C until it gets in.
10:13 - my stomach hurts from the ramen we had last night. I’m sensitive to a lot of things and it sucks but I eat them anyways because I love food and eating :’) get 2 tea bags from the kitchen (1 mint and 1 lemon) to make some tea. add some honey I have in my snack drawer. This combo usually helps my stomach pain
11:00 - C is going on a work trip to Japan next and invites me along. The trip is the weekend after we get back from our 7-day trip to Spain next month, and it’s literally just 24 hours there, but I’m down with the spontaneity! I give him a tentative yes. Forgot my usual banana so I snack on some dates I have at my desk.
12:00 - stomach is feeling a lot better so I’m happy. Have a few things to wrap up before I want to go on lunch. Our team has a 1pm meeting every m,w,f so those days either mean a super short lunch or working through lunch. I think I might be able to take an actual lunch today!
12:30 yay! I have time for a 20ish minute break. Heat up some soup I left here yesterday. The soup is actually very delicious but not enough to keep me full :( it had tomato, yam, lentils, and roasted corn all cooked down in some chicken stock with some various curry spices I had in my pantry. I cook about 95% of my meals and this week I essentially went through all my groceries I bought last week (such a cathartic feeling). Gonna treat myself to a farmers market trip this weekend!!
During lunch I spend some time with the newest girl on our team. She’s a recent graduate and so sweet it fucking hurts. She’s really excited about this role and I’ve recently just been hanging in there and going through the day to day motions. My team is filled with great people, but management micromanages us like no other. It’s so exhausting pulling receipts to justify your actions. But this is a really good, stable job, with great benefits so, you pick your battles, i guess. I smile really wide and nod my head a lot while she talks so she doesn’t notice my dead eyes. :)
1:30 - review my 401k benefits during the latter half of our team meeting. Our company was recently bought out and all of our accounts are being transferred around. I know we’re being auto-enrolled at the end of this month but I’m trying to enroll manually so I don’t miss another contribution. Previously I was contributing about 6% with a 5% match. Ugh, adulting is hard!!
2:15 - walk to the kitchen to make some more of that mint lemon tea and see that our office has put out some ice cream as an end of summer treat. Ask my coworker if there are any non-dairy options and he points me to the ice maker, hardy har har! Head back to my desk thinking about how it’s already mid August...where is the time going? Snack on some trail mix I have in my snack drawer (I keep so many things in my snack drawer…emergency meals, trail mix, dried fruit, tea, hot sauce…)
3:50 - my manager pings me about my current responsibilities and how she wants to increase my project load. In addition to our teams general day to day, I’ve taken initiative to create some automated reporting to help visualize all the data we get which helped remove a lot of manually processes. I started on this initiative essentially when I started with the team a year ago. My director has told me she wouldn’t generally give a new hire such a big project but I was able to prove myself to her. It feels really good to be trusted with such an important thing!! I’m open to the opportunity of increasing my work load and definitely feel guilty for hating on this job..I mean if you don’t like somethings it’s not your fault, right?
4:32 - FREEEEDDOOOOMMMM!!! We made it y’all. Pack up my work shit, essentially fly to my car, queue up the NPR Podcast, Planet Money, and put in directions to an amazing korean market near my place. My roomies will be out tonight so I planned out a cute lil meal for myself!
5:25 - ugh, the traffic was just horrible. Made it to the market...don’t forget the reusable bag!
6:00 - picked up some packaged microwavable sticky rice, small portions of radish kimchi and Napa cabbage kimchi, green onions, a jalepeno, 3 cucumbers, a mango, an 18 pack of lil roasted seaweed packs, marinated bulgogi, and a small container of gochujang $14.51
6:30 - lugged, like, 10 bags into the house (okay, it’s really 3, but you get it) put on my house clothes and try to decompress a bit. I don’t want to start cooking until my housemates head out for their dinner plans. Chat with one of my roomies, G, while her husband, M, gets ready for dinner plans. I met G on craigslist a couple years ago and have lived with her ever since. We’ve become really close and she’s like my older sister (she’s about 10 years older than me), which is such a nice feeling since I’m A) an only child and B) about 2ish hours from my parents, so its nice to feel like i live with family. I was her Maid of Honor at her wedding last month :’). M moved in earlier this year after they got engaged and its been a really smooth transition!
6:50 - They finally leave and I am ready to cook up a storm. Slice up all the veg I got and add to a plate along with some kimchi, cook the bulgogi, make my favorite Korean instant ramen (Samyang Fire noodle, original chicken flavor), microwave the rice bowl, and rip open a few packets of the roasted seaweed to make some cute lil mini tacos (aka, help shovel this food into my face hole faster)
OKAY that wasn’t really “”””cooking””””” per say….but I was having a craving and needed to feed my ~soul~, which I think is just as important as having a balanced meal!
7:45 - hooooollleeeeeyyyyy shit. I inhaled that. the only thing I didn’t finish was the rice. I ate all the meat I bought…I’m really impressed or should I be worried? I love having the house to myself when I eat meals that I’m craving because it’s quiet and I don’t have to worry about people talking to me!
8:25 - finish all the clean up, fill my water bottle, and retreat to my room to finish the rest of Bad Moms (I was watching while I ate, this is such a bad movie but an easy watch)…gonna need a minute to digest all that…
9:50 - still in bed but now just under the covers. Started watching PEN15 after hearing so many people tall about it. I can’t be the only one that feels weirded out about this show/dynamic?
10:39 - watched 2 episodes and still not too sure how I feel. I think its the way the two main actors talk about/to the actual middle school actors that doesn’t sit well with me. maybe I’m just overreacting!? Roll out of bed to do my night time routine. Floss, brush, Cerave face wash, Pixi glow tonic, The Ordinary alpha albutrin serum mixed with The Ordinary Squalane serum. Let that dry and put some Neutrogena’s On The Spot acne treatment on a few pimples that flared up last week. Braid my hair (ps. i never took it out of the half pony from earlier, i know you were so invested) and put some lotion on my legs. Get a text from G to let the dog out. He gets so emo when G and M leave for the evening, it’s so sweet.
11:00 - put on The Boss with Melissa McCarthy and settle into bed. I’m usually asleep by 10 but sleeping home alone has always been a bit hard for me so I always wait until someone is around… unless, of course, I’m extremely tired then it’s lights out ASAP
11:40 - I love anything Melissa McCarthy is in! And I love that her husband makes a cameo in her movies. I feel my eyes growing heavy so I plan to finish the movie sometime tomorrow and it’s lights out
Daily Total: $14.51
Day 2 (Saturday)
6:40 - alarm goes off and I go to the bathroom. I get back in bed and try to sleep for a few more hours
7:25 - mouth is so dry from all the sodium in my dinner last night...chug some water I have by my bed
8:45 - wake up a bit more naturally. It feels so nice to sleep in and feel like I’m on my own time. Scroll around on Instagram and think about the errands I need to run today. Eyebrow appointment at 10:30 with someone who prefers to have cash and a possible thrifting trip later today so I decide to get enough cash for that as well. I hear G rustling around as she gets ready for the class she teaches every Saturday morning near our house.
9:00 - I never have “real breakfast” things at home mostly because I opt for the easy option of some fruit and coffee/tea so I make some Persian tea and have a banana with it. I also catch up with G while she gets ready for work. I tell her about the meal I had last night because we love talking about food. She asks me how my stomach is doing because she knows how sensitive i am to most of the things I ate (red meat and instant ramen noodles). I tell her it feels fine...for now. She reminds me of this thrift store that resells clothes that were worn once in movies. I decide to go there instead since there might be a larger chance I find what I want (a new pair of jeans, a mid length skirt or a denim skirt, a few easy summery dresses, and maybe a small shoulder bag).
9:25 - throw in my laundry. G tells me that M had a few drinks last night at dinner and went in on their ice cream stash haha so I hope my rustling around isn’t affecting his (possible) hangover. Pour some more hot water over my teabag for a second cup. I feel like black tea doesn’t caffeinate me as much as coffee but I’m too lazy to go through the motions..hoping this second cup will get me through the morning
9:46 - narrator : “her stomach was not fine”
10:06 - brush my teeth, wash my face with cerave, and use some pixi tonic to make sure my skin is squeaky clean before going to get threaded. No other creams or serums. Take the some vitamins that my mom bought for me the last time I visited (probiotic, vitamin d3, and calcium)…really hoping I stick to to taking them! Fill up my water bottle and head out to get some cash. I drive a bit further to go through the drive through atm...I know, so lazy. I get $80.
10:15 - G texts me that it’s national thrifting day?!?!? Wow, this was all meant to be. May my bounty be fruitful, Amen
10:30 - meet up with my brow lady, her studio is right by my house! She’s a bit pricier than the usual $11 ($15) but she gets it right every time so it’s worth it. It's ideal to come every 2-3 weeks but i really end coming being every 4-5 weeks and she tells me its like starting on virgin eyebrows when I wait too long…lol. Catch up with her afterwards and show her pictures from G’s wedding. She’s so sweet! We also talk about her daughter who’s around my age and having some issues with job searching/finding a stable career. She’s a worried mom so I just nod and listen and tell her that her daughter will be ok! $18
11:00 - back home and wash my face again, then Pixi tonic, The Ordinary Squalane, and Neutrogena clear face sunscreen. Put my laundry in the dryer and throw my sheets in the wash and then I’m out the door to start thrifting
11:45 - get to the spot G told me about and its so cool, they’ve separated the clothes by show! I recognize a few of the shows and decide to just dive in.
12:20 - omg, i have got to go. Ask on of the associates for the keys to the bathroom and run for the hills only to realize there is NO TOILET PAPER. I am dying. Use some toilet seat cover as a wipe instead, this feels so wrong but definitely better than nothing. Later, I try on some clothes but nothing really seems to fit well/is what I’m looking for, not to mention it was pretty pricey. I return my stuff to the rack and walk towards the Goodwill across the street (which is SO MUCH BETTER)
1:30 - Jackpot!! bought 2 dresses (one short and summery and one longer, fitted, and perfect for fall), 4 tops that’ll be great for work, a flowy off the shoulder blouse that is so cute, and the piece de la resitance: a pastel blue, faux crocodile shoulder bag that is sooOoOo on trend right now that i barely look at it before stuffing it in my cart. After checking out i walk back to my car…I am so hungry and thirsty right now…start thinking about what i want to do for lunch…$46
2:15 - Make it to Sprouts to pick up a few things to make a meal that should last me through the weekend. Grab a HUGE watermelon (my favorite fruit of all time), Have a Chip corn chips, salsa, one big heirloom tomato, and 2 cartons of chicken broth $22.50
3:30 - made a bomb ass southwestern inspired soup!! the soup had the last of the wild rice, yams, and lentils I made last week, some black beans and roasted corn I had in the freezer, the tomato I just bought, onion, garlic, and good amount of paprika, cumin, black pepper, and salt. While the soup is cooking I cut the huge watermelon and fill 3 large tupperwares! M comes out of his office and we catch up on our days. I share some watermelon with him and he brings out some salty, sour, spicy mango salt he bought in Mexico to sprinkle on the melon. Wow, its fucking BOMB!!! It tastes like a margarita in your mouth— yum. clean the kitchen, wipe down the counters, and put all my things away. leave the soup out to cool down a bit. I filled up on watermelon so I’m not too hungry anymore. Retreat to my room to finish up The Boss
5:00 - Back to the kitchen for a bowl of the soup and top with some fresh jalapeño, also have a side of chips and salsa. I am a chips and salsa fiend…I could be full to the brim but will always have room for chips and salsa! Muster the energy to put sheets back on the bed (putting on a duvet cover should count as a workout) and tidy my room up a bit. Change into my house clothes, get settled in bed, and throw on The Real Housewives of Orange County. Nothing better than a clean bed with the AC running on a hot day…
8:00 - I cannot emphasize enough how nice it has been to just laze around in my bed. I haven’t had a whole weekend to myself in a really longtime— so i’m trying to relish every moment! hop between random youtube videos on my laptop, instagram, and texting C. M’s birthday is at the end of this month and he’s a major taco bell lover. I decide to buy him something from the Taco Shop that’s affiliated with the Taco Bell hotel in Palm Springs. I pick out a shirt that says “if you don’t like taco bell you’re wrong” and a fun dad cap. I can’t wait for M to open the gift. He doesn’t want to have a party this year so C and I were thinking of also getting him a cheesecake from The Cheesecake factory on the day of his bday as a small surprise. We love M, he’s such a sweet, fun, and genuine guy!! We want to make him feel loved for the big 3-6. The shirt and hat will be a gift from me and C so I send him a request for half but tell him its no rush to pay me back. $43.80
8:30 - Show G my thrifting loot and she agrees that the haul was a success! Thrifting gods were on my side today. She asks if I want to start watching the show The Magicians with her (answer is duuuuuh). Fill up my water bottle and join her on the couch
9:45 - M joins us to watch and shortly after we get the weird case of the sober munchies. We all raid the kitchen to see what we can snack on. G finds a bag of Limon lays! Scooorrrreee. She also brings out some sour cream and some tjoes chipotle bean dip. So bomb! I contribute my fave hot sauce to pour on the chips, Valentina. I also find some peanut m&ms in my pantry. I guess we were hungry...
11:15 - we part ways after 2 episodes. Go through the usual night time routine but add the ordinary vitamin C serum
11:55 - talk to C about possible trips we could take for our 2 year anniversary in October. So far the ideas are: Seattle, New Orleans, Chicago, Canada, and NYC…have to do some more research into it but I’d love to go to New Orleans for some really delicious food but would love to see NYC in the fall!
Daily Total: $130.30
Day 3 (Sunday)
6:40 - alarm goes off and I get up to go to the bathroom. Lay back in bed and scroll through my phone a bit. C is in a totally different time zone and I won’t get to speak to him until later today :( shortly fall back asleep
8:30 - wake up a bit groggy and gross. It’s gloomy outside so that’s probs not helping. Check to see what time the farmers market opens and slowly get out bed to do my morning routine. G and M are still asleep so I don’t want to make too much noise in the kitchen, bypass the morning tea. Throw on my favorite thrifted Star Wars tee, a pair of mom jeans, and some cute slides. Grab my reuseable bag and I’m out by 9!
9:15 - omg, this is such a great farmers market!! It goes on forever. I have some cash left from yesterday but hope some of the stands have a Square… I knew I should I have stopped by the bank!
9:45 - finish up at the market. I got a head of lettuce, one red onion, 5 pluots, 3 (HUGE) nectarines, 4 cute, plump and lumpy heirloom tomatoes, and 3 passion fruits (!!!) $14.50
10:20 - get some Costco gas ($36.60) and then head to the korean market to pick up a few additional things (4 persian cucumbers, 1 carrot, some radish, 3 raw beets) $5.56
11:00 - get home and put all my stuff away. Cut open a passion fruit and it’s pretty okay! More on the tart side but I’m down. Heat up a bowl of soup and top with some avocado, radish, green onion, jalepeno. Eat with a side of chips and salsa. G is doing some work at the dining room table and is dreading grocery shopping. She’s trying to convince me to go with her. Most of my pressing errands are out of the way so I’m thoroughly convinced!
12:00 - we’re back home and since M is doing some work, today turns into an impromptu girls day! G asks if I’m down to watch a movie off my movie education list (G is on a mission to watch all the classics with me and calls it “my film education”) I tell her I have a few things to do but will join her after!
12:30 - I wax my face. Lol, sounds so funny when I type it out. But!! I used to get it threaded and not only would it hurt but I’d breakout SO BADLY. I’d get these horrendous whiteheads that looked like lil eggs all over my cheeks!!! It’d take weeeeeeeeks to recover and by the time the reaction had subsided, it would be time to get threaded again. AND! It would cost me $40!!! Not fair. So I decided to buy the Sally Hansen self wax strips and do it myself! I’ve done it a few times and I’m super happy with the results! After I’m done with the lil beauty sesh, I clean up and wash my face. I go to my room to fold all the laundry from yesterday and spruce up my room a bit.
1:00 - I’m ready to be educated. We watch Spaceballs!! So fucking funny, oh my god. I’ve watched a few Mel Brooks movies with G and I am a total fan (am I late to the party?). Midway through I make a lil mezze plate with hummus, cucumbers, radish, avocado, chips, and salsa. G is inspired and makes herself a snack as well. She comes back with a huge bowl of nachos!!!! This is a girl who has been religiously watching what she eats for the last 5 months before her wedding so my eyes popped out of my head! They look bomb and she offers to share so I have a few bites. Shortly after I cut up some mango to eat with some watermelon, top with lime and tajin...refreshing
3:00 - start Dirty Rotten Scoundrels! We’re on a roll. I love days like this where most of my to do checklist is done, the weather is beautiful, and I’m in good company!
5:25 - G is hungry and wants to make something to eat. I have a headache and think it’s because I’m hungry. She wants to make the korean instant ramen (i totally turned her on to this addiction), I’m always down but immediately feel guilty for eating it twice this weekend. I have a fridge full of delicious things but opt for noodles instead? :( …. We share 4 types of kimchi (G had some in her fridge), seaweed, and cucumbers. I made too much food and can’t finish it. Oyyyy, I feel like trash and can’t really concentrate on the convo because I’m hating on myself for eating these noods!! It would be a sin to throw these out in front of G so I save them to throw out at a later date??? Is that wrong? maybe i’ll eat them later…
6:30 - after cleaning up we throw on My Fish Wanda. I love John Cleese! It’s a bit of a slow movie but we make it to the end. Text C for a quick minute about his trip.
10:15 - pack my lunch for tomorrow and put it in the fridge: some soup and toppings on the side, one peach, one pluot, some watermelon, and a banana for the morning. I make some turmeric tea (literally just half a teaspoon of turmeric, cinnamon, and freshly grated ginger) place it on my bed side table and go through my nighttime routine. Also pack up my work bag and put it by the door
10:42 - lay in bed and go through the things I did today and need to do tomorrow after work. I have a 7 day pass to a Pilates studio nearby and I’m in the market to replace my currently paused boxing membership, I make a reminder for tomorrow morning to sign up for a class after work. I miss working out during the week and hope I like the class! Sip on some of my tea and then it’s lights out
Daily Total: $42.16
Day 4 (Monday)
6:00 - alarm goes off and I go to the bathroom. Back in bed and I will myself not to go back to sleep. Scroll through Instagram for a bit and get a text from C who’s finally back in our time zone, hurrah!
6:23 - I rarely take showers in the morning but since I didn’t take one yesterday I have to this morning (my hair is past saving with dry shampoo). Brush my hair before stepping in and go through the motions. I use Acure shampoo, Trader Joe’s shea butter hair mask, Trader Joe’s body wash, and Cetaphil face wash. I also do the stealth ankle shave since I don’t feel like shaving both my entire legs right now
6:45 - once I’m out of the shower I use my Shea butter body lotion all over except my face, brush my teeth, The Ordinary squalane serum, Neutrogena sunscreen, brush my hair and use my Giovanni hair serum. Take my vitamins…fuck the calcium ones are HUGE and I have to take 3 of them…really takes some concentration to get them down. Glasses again today since there’s a cut high on my cheek that’s scabbed over from the waxing I did yesterday-oops! Hoping the glasses will mostly cover it. Put my outfit on for the day. One of the shirts I bought from the thrift store (G threw it in with her laundry yesterday) and the same ripped jeans I wore on Friday. Go to the kitchen to put my lunch in a bag and put it with my work stuff by the entrance door.
7:00 - back to my room to pick out a jacket and shoes. It’s a bit gloomy this morning so I opt for my long cozy cardigan, it’s a deep red and has pockets! pick my Steve Madden loafer slides to match. Attempt a cool French tuck that looks semi decent so I just go with it. I feel like an art director at a mid size print magazine company...real ~hip~ and with it. I remember I want to take a Pilates class so I grab some workout clothes, too. Fill up my water bottle, queue up the podcast Reply All, and I’m out the door
7:30 - make it to work and go through my morning routine: put lunch in communal fridge, office coffee with my better half non dairy creamer, fill up the water bottle, and get to work.
12:00 - a relatively chill morning so I’m able to take a nice long lunch before my 1pm meeting! Catch up with some girls that work on another team about their weekends. I tell them I went thrifting and showed them a picture of the bag I got and they both agree it was a steal. One of the girls says she’s down to go shopping with me soon. Ah, yes, the elusive “soon”. I also see that G added a lot movies to my movie education list. I love how she’s so excited to watch them with me. Take a second to really appreciate how lucky I got with this roommate thing. :’)
3:00 - it is all downhill from here. I am so distracted and hungry!!! K said that she got Mediterranean food for lunch. As much as I also wanted to get some, I had the grown up talk with myself and ate the lunch I brought. Totally regretting it now. Hummus, falafel, and some fluffy pita sound so delicious right now 😭 snack on some watermelon and the peach I brought but it just doesn’t cut it :( (although they were both insanely delicious) I also try to sign up for a Pilates class tonight through my free trial but I have to put in my cc info. Don’t really want to whip that out and look like a toottaaal slacker so I add to my to do list to do later tonight
5:15 - finally home!! I left around 4:40 and called C on my drive. He slept all day due to the time zone change. I miss him so much and sometimes get so envious of couples that live together and see each other often but I really love C. We have a great thing going and the scheduling woes are 10000% worth it! Tell him I wish I had something better for dinner and really want to get some pho with egg rolls. He says I should treat myself with that meal on Friday. Maybe I will! I have enough produce to make enough nourishing meals for the week so I try and get over my hanger
6:00 - after changing into house clothes (I really mean pjs but house clothes sound like I have my shit together) I get started on some dinner. Whip together a large salad with lettuce, onion, carrot, cucumber, heirloom tomatoes, and some black beans. Top with a simple vinegrette: red wine vinegar, olive oil, s&p, and some fresh garlic. Eat with what’s left of my chips and some hummus.
6:30 - G is home and I hang out with her while she makes dinner for herself and M. I eat some watermelon with lime. We chat about our days and the girls night we’re having at the house this weekend! It’ll be a potluck situation with all the bridesmaids from Gs wedding. We’ll eat and look at all the pics the professional photographer sent in. I think about what food to share. Hmm, maybe some quesadillas with a diy topping bar? That sounds interesting...I also decide to boil the beets I bought on Sunday. I usually buy these packaged from Trader Joe’s so it’ll be interesting to see how these turn out.
7:30 - reviewing hysa accounts (I know, I’m so late to the party but I’m so weirdly reluctant to get on the train! Opening one of these accounts has been on almost every single to do list I’ve made for the past two years!!) until I get a text from C about the hotels I sent him earlier. We want to go to NYC for our two year anniversary in October so we’re browsing accommodations. although the Mondrian is beautiful, I cannot stomach $1.1k for 3 nights (!!!!!). C finds a really sweet Airbnb apartment close to his favorite spots (he lived there for a bit and visits when he can) but i tell him i feel a bit rushed into reserving a place so we decide to put a pin in it.
8:30 - check on my beets and they’re done!! cut them up and add some to the salad i made earlier for my lunch tomorrow (same as dinner earlier!) store the rest for another time. wipe down the countertops and allow the water i boiled them in to cool. once it room temp-ish i pour some in a cup and add some lemon and ginger i had in the fridge along with some honey. its not that bad! the beet flavor is mild but still good. i drink this concoction instead of making tea.
9:00 - never went to the workout class..no ragrets. go through my evening routine and get in bed by 9:30!!
Daily Total: $0
Day 5 (Tuesday)
6:00 - go through the motions of the regular morning routine and out the door by 7
7:30 - fuck, I forgot my coffee creamer!!!!!!! Persian tea it is.
11:30 - a rather slow morning. Ate my pluot earlier and some dates but I’m still hungry..have a spoon full of peanut butter from my snack drawer..don’t judge me!!!
12:00 - take lunch and fantasize about different career paths I could possibly embark on that would bring me more joy than ensuring ads don’t fall on porn sites...event coordinator, influencer relations associate, mulch maker, sewage cleaner...the list goes on!!!!! All morning I’ve been thinking about a spicy fried chicken sandwich so eating my salad for lunch is incredibly disappointing but it could be worse.
1:00 - finish up my lunch and it’s actually quite refreshing! Watched some YouTube videos to pass the time. Oyyyy, I do not want to go back to my desk, but alas..
2:30 - smells like someone made popcorn in the office popcorn maker..head to the kitchen to grab a bowl. It’s kinda stale and salty but $free.99 is the best flavor
3:05 - literally someone called an hour meeting that was over within 5 minutes. What the heck, dude. Use the rest of the day to work on a project and eat some watermelon!
5:25 - make it home and chill for a bit before heading to the Pilates class I signed up for this morning. I’m excited to try it out and hope it can help me clear my mind a bit. Snack on 2 mind bogglingly delicious pluots
7:30 - the class was a lot slower than I’m used to but I remind myself that it’s a beginners class and will keep taking classes until my trial is up. C is coming over tonight so I take a body shower and use the noodles from Sunday night to make a quick stirfry! After I clean up I move $2,500 to my savings account through my bank app, new
9 - C’s bday just passed so G and M present him with a gift. It’s a heat sensitive mug that reveals pictures of me and C when a hot liquid is poured in!!! That is so thoughtful. They also gave him keys to the house. Wow, I love my roomies. The 4 of us are like a little family and I wouldn’t trade it for anything! Later I put a fashion show on for C to show him all my thrifted loot (are you tired of hearing about this yet?) So he puts on some music, we laugh and have a good time
10:30 - Get ready for bed and look at some really cringey things on Instagram. C is laughing so hard so it makes me laugh too! Fall asleep by 11
Daily total: $0
Day 6 (Wednesday)
6:00 - wake up and snooze the alarm (for a whopping 8 minutes). Scroll through insta and gently wake up C as he has an early work training to get to
7:30 - settle into work and try to call our old 401k provider to help with my rollover process. I forgot the pin I used to set up my account so I can’t get ahold of a representative or reset it online! Ah! I hope there’s a way to fix this without having to withdraw my funds prematurely
9:00 - company wide meeting so our office phones in from the kitchen to hear our ceo speak about Q2 goals. See a group of gals that work on our affiliate marketing side and really wish I had applied for a role on that team. Quickly go through the pros and cons of switching over to that side of the business and decide to revisit this in the new year. Message one of the girls on the team to see if she’s down to talk about her role and how she’s settling. She’s down and excited that I’m considering a transition!)
1:00 - worked straight through my normal lunchtime to prep for our weekly meeting. I’m starving but glad I took the extra time to review everything
2:30 - take a quick lunch in the kitchen with K and inhale the last of the soup I made this weekend. It’s so good, but glad it’s finally finished!
3:30 - make sure all my coworkers are wearing headphones before I eat some watermelon at my desk...
5:30 - make it home and chill for a sec before I head out to the Pilates class
7:30 - back home and woooooowwww, what a difference between last nights class. The teacher tonight was super up beat and whopped our butts! I really like the mix of trx/circuit training and traditional exercises on the reformer
9:30 - after having a huge salad for dinner (black beans, lettuce, tomatoes, onions, radish, and cucumber) I make the same thing for my lunch tomorrow! Pack some hummus to eat with crackers I have at my desk in case I get hungry. Also some watermelon and a peach! I go to my room and start a new show on Hulu called This Way Up. I love it!
11:00 - go through the usual night time routine and crawl into bed
Daily total: $0
Day 7 (Thursday)
6:00 - I wake up thinking it’s Friday. How cruel! Go to the bathroom and then just lay in my bed scrolling through insta
6:40 - still here!!!
7:20 - make it to work in record time after going through a quick morning routine. As I’m walking to my desk I suddenly remember my pin to access my 401k account!!! Rush to my desk to sort it all out
8:00 - I feel like an adult. Enrolled for my company’s newest 401k plan (7% with a 5% match) and initiated the rollover from my old account!! I oddly have an adrenaline rush, and paired with my morning coffee, that propels me into the most productive morning I’ve had all week!
12:00 - get a lot accomplished before I head out to meet a friend for lunch. They’re an ex-coworker turned close friend. Pick up a bag of blue corn tortilla chips from the small kiosk we have at work before heading out to eat with my hummus. I end up going to the wrong location for a good 15 min until they call me asking where I am!! I feel like an idiot but laugh it off. Luckily the place I went to is across the street from the right spot $1.39
2:00 - I hate how the first 2 days of the week are absolute trash for me and then I get into the groove of things in the latter half...what a shitty cycle? But I’ll take it! Get a bunch of shit done, have a good meeting with my manager, and eat all the fruit I brought.
4:00 - C is coming over later and asks if I want to go to Malibu for an impromptu date night!! Look through the options he sent me but like the idea of getting some fried chicken sandwiches from Popeyes and then just eating them on the beach...he’s down for whatever but we’ll decide when he comes over
5:30 - make it home and chill a bit before heading out to class.
8:30 - showered and ready to go out with C. We realize we won’t make it in time to the restaurant we initially chose so we opt for a Mexican restaurant by my place. It’s loud and poppin! I order the carne asada plate with corn tortillas on the side and a classic margarita. C orders the carnitas plate with flour tortillas. We also ask for a side of guac and pico. The food here is so good!! My lovely boyfriend pays and we take the leftovers home.
10:30 - go through my night routine. get in bed and cuddle with C I fall asleep with my head on his chest as he plays with my hair. He’s been working a lot this month so moments like these are sOoOoO important and special.
11:30 - I chug some water and it’s lights out!

Reflection: holy shit, this is so long! ah, hope you still enjoy!! This is a pretty typical week for me. I don’t thrift shop often, maybe a once every few months, so that was a special treat. As was the meal on Friday evening since I always try to buy foods that will last me a few days. It was fun to see that my $0 days were still just as eventful as my spend days (well, to me at least!). I can usually go through the whole work week without spending money if I meal prepped/grocery shopped over the weekend. I was really self-conscious about submitting since I don’t have much going on the investment side of things, but trust! This sub has really helped me make some important decisions-- setting up a Roth IRA is next!

Are Black Operatives Planning To Precipitate a Bioweapons Psyop to blame on Iran to -Finally- Take Us Into War? >> "Iran says 'prepare to die from secret weapons...to be used on RAINY DAYS'"

Operators' Steganography Backgrounder
Spies and black operatives speak in code out-in-the-open. They speak in code WITHIN the news, signalling to each other surreptitiously through the magic of steganography, the meaning of which is occulted through the public's lack of foreknowledge of said code. Sometimes it's not a phrase, but a symbol. And sometimes it's a number, denoting a membership, a makers mark or a shibboleth. A lambda (Λ) in the place of an uppercase A, or a 33, 333, the X, a maltese cross, etc are some examples
Any attempt by outsiders, such as myself, are simply suppositions, ideas, guesses, hypotheses. They are educated guesses, but guesses nonetheless, and they are useful in raising consciousness of the informed reader, alerting one's spider sense--that 'something could be going on here'.
But how do we know these aren't just noise? Patterns. Statistical unlikelihood of a particular number, symbol, or phrase to appear in multiple unrelated stories over unrelated outlets, spanning multiple years, that ultimately undergird the same affiliation of people[1][2][33]
These patterns are informed by history, occultically decoded after-the-fact. This is still instructive, as its led to a high success rate in predictions of overall trends in the context of mass social psychology maneuvers and predictive worldview steering towards globalism and one-world government for example[4][5][6][77][8][9] and in the cases where the predictions failed, it's possible that--in a quantum physics type of way--the prediction itself changed--as in halted--the predicted outcome. We will never know. But that is precisely why we make posts like this: To ensure we our predictions are wrong.
Iran Article Analysis
Iran says 'prepare to die from secret weapons'....to be used on 'rainy days'
According to a Breitbart article today, "Prepare to Die: Iran Says ‘Filthy Enemies’ Face Surprise Attack by ‘Secret Weapons’", an Iranian military commander warned Wednesday, that
"Iran’s “filthy enemies” in the U.S. military should gird themselves for attack by deadly “secret weapons,” ..."warning Iran would give a “strong and crushing response” to its enemies."
He also warned that a conflict would be very expensive
"He cautioned any war between the U.S. and Iran would be really quite expensive, and for that reason U.S. forces will think again."
But obviously, a non-nuclear (borderline nuclear) country like Iran making this threat means they have some OTHER tool--a mcguffin in you will--at their disposal.
Because wiping Iran off the map, even non-nuclearly, is not only even more feasible under Trump's augmented military, it would be LESS not MORE expensive than under previous administrations, should Iran NOT have some magical mcguffin 'secret weapon'.
Therefore, I think it would be wise to take them at their word.
Not just because it might be true, but because I personally don't want any more war. That being said, there are powerful corporate forces of the deepstate and us military-industrial-congressional complex (NATO / FVEYS / US-UK GCHQ) that have been steadily trying--in various deceitful ways--to drag us into war with Iran (and Syria/Russia) with multiple false flags that have been exposed, including the NATO funded ISIS mercenary gladio proxy-war, the skripal poisoning hoax, and white helmets and UN psyops.
When you look at their track record, you see more and more 'extreme yet very inept' moves and hamhanded exstablishment media narratives that require such a degree of extreme cognitive dissonance that most Americans no longer have, even if through total narrative-exhaustion and not any kind of redpilling or wokeness.
Ultimately, I believe the final move will be another 9/11 style false flag blamed on Iran; only the 'expense' will be by attacking our nearly-crippled healthcare system by dispersing bioweapons into the atmosphere to be carried down by rain
Why do I think this? Well the above mention of the RAIN, specifically.
This news wants us to think this Iranian commander is a psychopath, smiling evilly in the corner with duper's delight, rubbing his hands together in excitement as his plan unfolds. Because he--like most cartoon villains--is confessing to the hero, and target of his ploy, the details of his plans, at just the perfect moment for them to be foiled. After which he will say, when taken into custody, I would have gotten away with it if it weren't for dagum Trump. This is of course, more journalistic nonsense. Grownups know that successful commanders say little and don't telegraph their methodology.
The mention of rain can be safely assumed to be predictive programming, unless it isn't. That's the thing about guesses. It could go either way. That's why this is a shower thought.
Netflix's "The RAIN" Portends Biowarfare"
Neftlix is Deepstate Confirmed. NETFLIX is the propaganda arm of the global shadow security state or "Deepstate" (NATO-GHCQ-CIA and those transnational banking/mining/sec-def corporations they serve)[10][11].
NETFLIX has been pushing "The RAIN"--a Danish post-apocalyptic series in its third season, which is described as follows:
When a virus that is carried by rainfall wipes out almost all humans in Scandinavia, Danish siblings Simone and Rasmus take shelter in a bunker. Six years later, they emerge to search for their father, a scientist who left them in the bunker but never returned. Along the way they join a group of young survivors and together they travel across Denmark and Sweden, searching for a safe place, and for the siblings' father, who may be able to provide the answers and the cure --Source: Wikipedia Article on the Rain, Series
As a shorthand, I would call this predictive programming, but I think it's better to say 'telegraphing the shadow government's potential black operation intentions to each other via steganography, through open source intelligence media".
In fact, that's a decent definition for the effect we refer to in conspiracy circles as predictive programming, only with predictive programming there's also the aspect of duper's delight by the perpetrators, and "psychic injury" or 'psychological trauma' associated with the event, should it come to pass (and only does in retrospect, since there is a veil of secrecy behind their moves).
Steganography allows them to coordinate without direct communication, so they can coordinate and inform without their dissociated network being compromised. In other words, spies operate exactly the same as terrorists--in compartmented cells, who send signals out in the open. If it barks like a duck and wags like a duck, then its a duck. There's little difference these days between spies and terrorists; and we know one grooms the other to do the dirty work, but their end goal is actually the same: to destroy peer to peer rights, democratic forces, and destroy the rule of law in favor totalitarian rule by a select group of people.
Now I'm in the weeds.
Bottom line: Stay out of the rain the next 3 weeks.

Red vs Blue Video - Gate camping in Tornadoes (lots of battleship/BC kills, dropped by Snuffed, don't care, good fights with the locals) January 2019

RvB had a great time camping a gate into low sec about a week ago (yes, really) so I made a video. 21 in fleet which is about average for us lately. Featuring: Newbros ask questions without being snarked or barked at. Lots of BS/BC kills, Rook, a Loki who escapes after killing the tackle. Snuffed makes a late appearance, so we move over a few systems and get an unexpected fight with a Kiki/Aug fleet. Then we go back to camping the original gate, catch a Thorax pilot that killed one of our cruisers who brings back a Nado, and get another good fight against twin RR Apocs.

If you are bored of Null politics, and tired of F1, we don't care about political affiliations. We have people from every part of New Eden among our ranks. We have no-drama, scheduled (around 20:00 usually) small gang low-sec fleets like the one shown in the video, daily. Usually we roam when we go to low sec, but sometimes we break things up with a gate camp like this one. High sec fights between Red and Blue are picking up steam again with BS down events and skirmishes.

So come roam with us! Or camp with us! As always we don't care about spies, don't do interviews, don't do API checks, don't care about your SP, don't care if you're an alt, don't care about your in-game experience or killboards. We just don't care who you are or where you're from, as long as you can embrace the lack of drama. Apply and you're in, and join fleets for regular small-gang pew. It's really that simple.

Anyway, here's the video. I hope you enjoy!

When it’s dark out...

I always wanted to live a “normal” life. You know the one. It has been fed to us for as long as I can remember; Go to school, get good grades, graduate, make money, meet life partner, marry, have a litter of kids (however you choose to obtain them), grow old, and finally die. That seems like the ideal life footprint for me. I did what I needed to, graduated, made money, met my partner, and as we were planning the next stage of our lives, things went awry.
Jesse and I met in college. Mutual interest in journalism brought us together. We were both in the same study group. We started studying together more and more, making excuses to necessitate a session at one of our apartments, until we stopped going to the group study altogether. Between all the studying, we managed to fall head over heels for each other.
After graduation, we got jobs with different online papers and were well on our way to our first Pulitzers, or so we thought. Jesse was a great political writer who could hold her own as a sports writer as well. I focused on features, which tended to focus on uncovering crimes or corruption. We were on our way.
Jesse and I lived in an apartment that was comfortable, and as the real estate agent put it, cute. It was small, but it was ours. Two tiny bedrooms, a living room that flowed straight into the kitchen. It was really perfect for our needs. We had a small television, two iMacs in the “office”, and a brand new, state of the art microwave. The kitchen had a fridge, a gas stove, and a sink. We installed a small island so we had actual counter space. Cozy would be a great way to describe our apartment.
Things seemed pretty perfect in our world. We spent most of our free time hanging out in the neighborhood bar with our friends and neighbors, drinking, eating great food, having a great time. It was there, Friday afternoon, when everything was about to change dramatically.
It was raining outside, so we were inside, missing the patio, but thankful enough to be dry. Sal hadn’t put up the umbrellas yet. He owned, managed, bartended, and occasionally cooked at the bar. We were all in love with Sal. He was late thirties, early forties, graying hair, in perfect shape (and knew it), and always overfilled our whiskeys. He was busy behind the bar that day, as the crowd was a bit larger than normal for a Friday afternoon.
There were two tvs in the bar, one always tuned to local news, the other to some obscure sports station. The sports station carried the first alert at 4:27 pm. The local news placed their alert at 4:29 pm. Jesse had been glancing at the sports station every few minutes as a lacrosse match played out, so she was the first to see the alert.
“Hey Sal, could you turn up sport? There’s something happening.” Everyone referred to the tvs by their purpose instead of placement. Since this particular tv was by the dart board, it was the sport tv, so that’s all that ever played on it.
“Uh, yeah, sure thing. Just a sec.” Sal fumbled around searching for the remote. Another patron walked to the tv and manually turned it up.
“…there and…yes, now confirming the third case. Emergency services are on the scene, we will have a crew on site shortly. “
“Again, if you’re just joining us, a state of emergency has been declared with explicit instruction to shelter in place. There appear to have been several chemical or biological attacks coordinated throughout the northern portions of the county at roughly the same time, 4:04 pm. Reports are coming in from across the area, the details still seem hazy, though one thing is consistent with them all. The affected are becoming enraged and physically attacking anything near them. It looks like the aggressor then shambles a few feet and collapses, dead.”
Jesse and I stared at the screen, mouths agape. Sal had located the remote by this time and muted the tv.
“Okay, everyone keep your cool. There may or may not be something happening outside right now, but we are indoors. We need to keep everything closed up and make sure nothing gets in here to contaminate us.”
A few of our friends started toward the bar, asking what they can do to help barricade us in, when another group of patrons went straight for the door. They threw it open and headed out, telling us it would be safer to go home. We watched them get to the end of the sidewalk and turn down my street. Then they were gone beyond the hedges.
The local affiliate was playing footage of a riot. It was in the parking lot of a big box store, looked like a target, and at least twenty people were violently attacking anything in their path. One young man, maybe around fifteen years old, was stomping on the front of a car. He managed to break a large piece free, which he then used to club a terrified little girl,(possibly his sister) in the head until she was no longer moving. This chaos was playing out all across the parking lot. Once the young man finished with her, he turned his fury on one of the deranged attackers and was soon lost in the scrum.
The anchor cut in.
“We are in as much disbelief as you concerning the situation unfolding in our city. It has been spreading fast, so please stay indoors. Shelter in place and do not attempt to drive home from wherever you are. Stay safe.”
Sal clicked the power off.
“We have some options here. I know Jesse and Mikkel live just down the street, as does Julia. If you’re within one block of here, I don’t see why you wouldn’t just run home, if you want. Any farther than that and I would recommend staying here.”
“I think we’ll just sit tight for a few minutes. Got no reason to tempt fate.” Julia and I both nodded our agreements with Jesse. We were neighbors, along with her girlfriend Eliot.
“Good call” Sal said as he walked over to the front glass.
“We need to build some sort of a barricade over the windows and block up the doors.”
Thats when everything went wrong. We sat at the bar and looked out at the street while a few people started barricading us in. I felt a little guilty for not helping, but at the same time, I knew that if I were to yield a hammer, I would cause far more harm than good.
I heard a shout, followed by the sound of shattering glass. Pieces of front door window rained down on Jesse and I. We both turned toward the sound and were met with the sight of a man strangling Eliot while trying to chew her ear off. The man attacking Eliot was no more than a hundred and twenty pounds, but Eliot was no match for his rage. I was in such a deep shock that I couldn’t move. Jesse sprang from her seat and brought a bottle of beer down on the attackers head. A shriek escaped Eliots lips, then she went down in a heap while the man on top of her kept biting and choking her. A golf club suddenly ended the mans attack.
“I’ve been waiting for these fuckers to show up.” Sal said matter of factly while holding a five iron in his hands.
Eliot was choking on blood. Her throat had been chewed and clawed apart, causing her artery to pump jets of blood onto the floor. I pressed a bar towel against the wounds and tried to slow the blood flow, but wasn’t able to stop it. She died staring up at Julia and I with a look of terror in her eyes.
The man that Sal had hit wasn’t moving. Sal swung his club once more and the mans head caved in slightly. He was dead.
Some of the other patrons were working to board the front door shut.
I didn’t see the next attack, but I definitely heard it. A fellow customer had slipped into the storage and had apparently attempted to escape through the back door. There was a sudden scream from the back and what could only be explained as a wolf or dog growling and biting into flesh. It was a completely feral sound, standing my hair on end. Now there was some sort of wild animal loose in the back of the bar.
I glanced out between the newly constructed slats on the door and saw the sunset. It was beautiful. I wanted to keep that picture in my mind and block out the last memory of a terrible day.
Sal switched the tv on and the local news was showing a new live shot of some deceased bodies in front of their studio. As we watched, the bodies started to grow course hair and their skin began to stretch into a distinctly canine shape.
They were turning into werewolves.
I’ll update as soon as I can, but I’ve been writing this on my phone while locked in a public restroom. Jesse looks like she’s almost ready to break, so I think I should focus on her for a while. She has always been so much stronger than me.

Realignment Labs: the Lehigh Valley Condundrum

Towards the end of the Puck University Reddit Speical, LansdowneStreet, LocksTheFox, and zgreen05 were discussing how there remains room for college hockey to expand into areas where hockey (or at least the NHL) has a popular following but who lack college teams sponsoring the sport at the varsity level. Alongside some of the more typical suspects, such as Southern California, Pittsburgh, and Temple/Penn. Lehigh and Lafayette received a mention. The rationale being that the Lehigh valley exists in a bit of a no-man's land between NYC and Philly in terms of sports fandom, while Eastern PA as a whole is underserved by college hockey teams. It was even suggested that the upcoming NCAA Regionals being hosted in the area might be a test bed to entice either, or perhaps both to elevate to varsity DI. Leaving aside the fact that the NCAA does not work that way, let's say Penn State continues their rise, and attendance at the NCAA Regionals convinces the two to add ice hockey to their varsity sports.
If one came up by themselves, and nothing else happens before then as a result of those NHL sponsored feasibility studies, they would likely wind up as the 12th Atlantic Hockey team, and that would be the end of it - the ECAC has no room, and Hockey East isn't going to add a new program unless they're a major conference1 team. But, there's plenty of reasons that the two would want to come up together. Their sporting history is intertwined - The Rivalry is the most played college football game and the longest uninterrupted series in all of college football, period2. The two are also founding members of the Patriot League in the 1980s, where they remain today. And it's this last point that has the potential to cause anything from a minor ripple to a large scale change to Eastern hockey.
Currently, four PL full member schools sponsor men's ice hockey: Army, Boston, Colgate, and Holy Cross. The latter three also sponsor women's hockey, with Holy Cross elevating their program to the NC division this season3. And as we all know, 6 is the magic number for that NCAA tournament automatic bid. So, that leaves open the possibility of PL hockey. Of course, there's no obligation for the conference to sponsor the sport just because it has hit the magic number - the Ivy League has long had at least 6 of its member schools sponsoring hockey, but has thus far opted against officially sponsoring the sport (though an Ivy champion is crowned in men's and women's hockey based on the results against the other Ivy members of the ECAC). But, currently there are 11 Hockey East schools, 12 ECAC schools, and 11 Atlantic Hockey schools. So, there's currently no room for both Lehigh and Lafayette to join a conference together.4 Thus, this leaves roughly four options:

1. The Status Quo, more or less

BU and Colgate certainly would prefer their current situations to a potential Patriot League conference with the current lineup, with the Terriers being in Hockey East and Colgate in the ECAC with the Ivies. Army seems to prefer being part of a conference with Air Force. Meanwhile, it's no secret that Holy Cross wants in Hockey East, and their women's team is joining in 2018-19. This, naturally gives the Crusaders a bit of leverage in basically forcing BU to support Holy Cross's candidacy to join the men's conference as well, since if HC doesn't get into HE, they could go along with the creation of a PL hockey league, dragging Boston along with them. So, Holy Cross joins Hockey East as the 12th member on the men's side, and most fans grumble but at least are happy that the conference isn't being split in three as the old WCHA was. Lehigh and Lafayette then slot into Atlantic Hockey as the 11th and 12th members - presumably being bribed with home and home OOC series with BU, C'Gate, and HC to not try and move to form a PL hockey conference.
Of course, HE could take a third option by either A) convincing Quinnipiac to join, which if they have a different president by this point could very well happen, and then Holy Cross replaces QU in the ECAC, much to RIT fans' chagrin5. HC is satisfied with not being in Atlantic Hockey and doesn't press the issue further. Or B), Hockey East invites Army to join, expanding the conference's footprint to the NYC area and adding if not a good team, one with a brand name behind it that most casual fans can get behind, because MURICA. Air Force could presumably join the NCHC with Arizona State, allowing that league to rebalance their schedules to reduce the cross country travel concerns for its membership. Both leagues would also potentially be able to leverage the additions to get better TV contracts. Or, a TV contract.6 Of course, this leaves Holy Cross stuck, but as before, BU, Colgate, and Army essentially bribe Lehigh and Lafayette into siding with them, and thus preventing the creation of the Patriot League conference. While Army and Air Force do prefer to be together, it's not as if this is consistently the case across all sports as it is, and the dual upgrade for both programs makes it likely that they wouldn't mind. Granted, this assumes the NCHC would go along with the idea, but the thought of getting a Service Academy and their fan's eyeballs on the league has to be something of an appeal.

2. The point gets mooted by a team departing the league

Wild scenarios aside (like Holy Cross joining the Big East, or BU joining the A-10or the Big East), or things just never going to happen (Like Boston rejoining the America East), there are three possibility that are at least somewhat realistic. In order from least to most likely:
During the large scale realignment of the 2010s, prior to BU accepting the invitation to the Patriot League, there was a rumor floating around that the CAA had extended an invitation to the Terriers. While I tend to not give credence to that idea for a variety of reasons, BU has been at or just below the top AD in the AmEast and PL for an extended period, which would suggest that BU's teams would at least be able to compete in the stronger CAA. Alternatively, BU could potentially depart for the Metro Atlantic, giving that league a presence in Boston. Neither seems to be likely, given that the move to the PL was in the works for an extended period of time prior to the announcement. Then again, to protect the hockey programs, it's possible the AD would at least explore the possibility.
Currently the CAA has 10 full member teams, with a larger concentration in the Mid-Atlantic and Southeast. Hostfra and Northeastern are currently outliers in the league. Adding two NE PA teams, while not exactly in Northeastern's backyard especially, would make the travel easier for the Northern teams. It would also give the CAA six full members sponsoring football, giving it assurances against teams defecting to other leagues (especially James Madison)7. Of course, Lehigh and Lafayette are founding members of the Patriot Leauge, and joined the conference because its member schools are smaller, private academic first schools8, and the league has ties to the Ivy going back to its founding. While there are some similar minded schools in the CAA ranks, CAA football includes the likes of Albany, New Hampshire, and Maine. Hardly a step up from Colgate, Holy Cross, and Bucknell9. But, the other thing to consider is that the PL only has 5 full member schools that sponsor football. To get to the requisite number needed to sponsor the sport, Fordham and Georgetown are associate members. While the league is certainly stable for the moment, what's to say that those schools end up sticking around. Perhaps stability for football would be a welcome thing.
In the end, I doubt this would happen. But I think the CAA would also be more likely to want The Rivalry in their ranks than another Northern team, since the conference appears to be expanding Southward in general. The most recent members? College of Charleston and Elon in the Carolinas.10. At least Lehigh and Lafayette are closer to the core group of schools.
The most likely, because again, football. Navy is already a football only member of the league, which makes no secret of wanting to position itself as a "Power Six" conference.11 And since money is the biggest factor in determining Power status, and people like the Service Academies, naturally there are some who posit that Army and Navy join as full members, which in turn should help the conference get a better TV deal to try and close the gap. Leaving aside all of the problems in this line of reasoning (not the least of which is Army's haplessness in well, just about every single sport they field), this is accepted as something which will happen eventually. Then again, some of those same people seem to think the ACC would add Navy, which makes even less sense.
In the end though, football does rule, and the American doesn't exactly have any better options. So, grabbing Army at least allows them to exploit MURICA sentiments for money.
Of course, in any of these scenarios, depending on who the replacements are, the end result could return the league to square one. But, barring that, if a team were to leave the PL, we would essentially be back to considering one of the scenarios under the first option.

3. The Patriot League sponsors hockey

Alternatively, the other members could simply gang up on BU/Colgate and opt to add men's hockey (and possibly women's depending on other additions) as a sponsored sport.
Initially of course, this results in a 6 team leauge of Army, Boston, Colgate, Holy Cross, Lehigh, and Lafayette. Of course, the league would probably move to add additional members so it's not weighed down by two brand new teams12. Air Force to appease Army would be the likely first addition, which would leave the league at 7 teams.
Since going after a Hockey East school would be a non-starter, that leaves Atlantic Hockey and ECAC schools as candidates. The Ivies are right out since they'd join as a group, resulting in 13 teams. So, that leaves the following targets:
None of the other options really come close at all to matching the league's profile, so the PL doesn't expand further.
The resulting changes on the men's side would be
Patriot Hockey East ECAC Atlantic
Air Force Boston College Brown American International
Army Connecticut Clarkson Bentley
Boston Lowell Cornell Canisius
Colgate Maine Dartmouth Mercyhurst
Holy Cross Massachusetts Harvard Niagara
Lafayette Merrimack Princeton Sacred Heart
Lehigh New Hampshire Quinnipiac
Robert Morris Northeastern RPI
Providence RIT
Vermont St Lawrence
Union
Yale
As for further moves, Hockey East is back to an even 10, and while the loss of BU stings, on top of Notre Dame leaving14, the only good option isn't leaving the ECAC anytime soon if they can help it, and with two spots open, are better positioned for future major conference schools opting in to adding hockey. Meanwhile, the Atlantic is down to 6 schools, but obviously don't have many choices from which to add, and are stuck hoping other schools unattractive to the PL or HE add the sport to rebuild their numbers.
On the women's side, any conference moves depend largely on whether Lehigh and Lafayette add women's hockey as well as men's. If they don't, even with affiliates Air Force and RMU in the fold there wouldn't be enough PL schools to sponsor women's hockey. In which case, either the status quo is maintained, or RIT (wanting both teams in the same conference), switches places with Colgate.
If on the other hand, they do, then that leaves 5 full member schools sponsoring women's hockey. But the main issue is that RMU's currently home, College Hockey America, has exactly 6 teams in it. RMU departing would cause a massive problem.15 The remaining schools would need a home. And since that conference has most of its schools closer to RMU than the other PL schools, there's little reason for them to move unless they are attempting to leverage this into full conference membership. So, in that case with a lack of members, BU and HC stay in Hockey East, Lehigh and Lafayette shore up the CHA's membership, and Colgate and RIT argue over who winds up taking the 12th ECAC berth. Let's say though that the PL does opt to sponsor the sport and gets RMU to tag along, that leaves us with
Patriot Hockey East CHA WCHA
Boston Boston College Lindenwood Bemidji St
Colgate Connecticut Mercyhurst Duluth
Holy Cross Maine Penn State Mankato
Lafayette Merrimack Syracuse Minnesota
Lehigh New Hampshire Ohio St
Robert Morris Northeastern Saint Cloud St
Providence Wisconsin
Vermont
(The ECAC would obviously be the same as above) As always, independent Sacred Heart is the wild card, but even if they joined the CHA, that conference would still have only 5 members anyway. And considering that a) SHU prefers to play a lower division schedule and b) there's no longer the threat of Atlantic Hockey essentially merging with CHA since only one Atlantic Hockey school is even left in the CHA, they likely maintain their own status quo.
With the WCHA at 7, and the other Big Ten women's schools already in that league, the WCHA jumps to add Penn State. Hockey East, really only interested in Syracuse and unwilling to expand for just one school, now that the league is at an even number again, stands pat. And of course the ECAC is already at 12 teams. The WCHA then winds up absorbing the remaining schools from the CHA, giving Lindenwood as a nearby team for the core group of Minnesota and Wisconsin schools, and having a group of schools within easy travel distance for OSU and Penn State by adding Syracuse and Mercyhurst, helping containing costs by allowing for schedules to be re balanced so that teams predominately play those closer to home to save on overall travel.
Of course, there is another possibility, that the Patriot League expands to 12 full members in general. Let's say Robert Morris is grabbed for their football team, evening up the numbers there and ensuring that the conference would survive the departures of the associate members should that occur.
Well, that would necessitate adding a 12th team to even up the numbers. Preferably someone close by. Preferably a school that sees itself as being on the Ivies level, one that values that association to the point where they have stubbornly refused to depart their hockey conference because of it. While the Patriot Leauge doesn't have any Ivy League schools in it16, considering that the PL was founded in order to give the Ivies OOC competition against schools with similar mindsets, don't you think that such a connection would appeal to Qunnipiac? And sure, the MAAC is a pretty solid mid major confernece, while the PL is closer to being a low major than a mid major, the PL does have Bucknell, Lehigh, Lafayette, and Boston as being competiative schools at that level. Adding QU into the mix could help improve the conference's standing.
So, RMU and QU sign up to join the PL. Well, including Air Force, that gives the league 9 members sponsoring men's hockey. Meanwhile, the ECAC, now at 10 members, could add RIT as number 11, but then who would be number 12? None of the other Atlantic Hockey schools would be a fit, either from a travel perspective, or general cultural fit. And none of the Hockey East schools would move to join the league. So, the league decides instead to stay at 10. Naturally, RIT is infuriated, but, the PL decides to invite RIT as the 10th member to even up the numbers, give RMU someone nearby, and to plant the league's flag in the Buffalo/Rochester area. Given that this represents an escape from Atlantic Hockey to a better league, however marginally so, RIT ends up accepting. So the end result instead looks like this
Patriot Hockey East ECAC Atlantic
Air Force Boston College Brown American International
Army Connecticut Clarkson Bentley
Boston Lowell Cornell Canisius
Colgate Maine Dartmouth Mercyhurst
Holy Cross Massachusetts Harvard Niagara
Lafayette Merrimack Princeton Sacred Heart
Lehigh New Hampshire RPI
RIT Northeastern St Lawrence
Robert Morris Providence Union
Quinnipiac Vermont Yale
As before, Atlantic Hockey has the same issue of not having any one to replace the departing schools, and Hockey East doesn't have any natural fits to fill spots 11 and 12, so they can wait. While the ECAC has room, they too would simply wait to see what else changes before adding anyone.
On the women's side, it's now more or less irrelevant whether Lafayette or Lehigh end up sponsoring women's hockey or not because the PL would now have six full members sponsoring the sport, and so form a women's hockey conference. I'll just assume they do end up sponsoring it since the only difference is whether they would be in the PL or not have a team at all.
The only difference now is with RIT not in the ECAC, there are five CHA schools remaining. Hockey East would have the same lineup as in the previous case, the ECAC would have its identical 10 team lineup, and the WCHA would have the same starting point. Thus, there are effectively three possibilites:
1) Sacred Heart joins the CHA. With the CHA down to five teams they need to add someone, and SHU would be the only team available. Perhaps with a spot opening where the CHA wouldn't really have a choice, and with a seeming trend in the DIII ranks to expel teams that are not full DIII members, SHU decides it's time to fully commit to the top division, and so takes the empty CHA slot.
If they don't then one of the following would happen:
2) Hockey East invites Syracuse and RIT. While HE presumably would only really want Syracuse, having RIT gives the Orange a travel partner, making the addition more palatable on smaller women's hockey budgets. The WCHA then adds the remaining CHA teams for similar reasons as before.
3) The WCHA simply adds all 5 CHA teams. This would give the WCHA 12 women's teams, and allow it to divide into two zones - the NY/PA schools plus OSU and either Wisconsin or Lindenwood in one, and the Minnesota schools and the other of Lindenwood or Wisconsin in another to contain travel costs while also ensuring the future viability of the league in the wake of North Dakota dropping the sport.
Of course, with all of that, there's still one more overall scenario to consider

4. The Patriot and Ivy League schools form a brand new conference

Consider this for a moment, the PL was founded at the behest of Ivy League schools wanting similar minded schools to play in OOC competition. While it started in football, the leauge expanded to other sports, and the two leagues play each other frequently in non conference play. Well, the Ivy League schools show a reluctance to sponsor hockey as a conference sport since not all of them have teams. And the PL schools would be looking to boost the strength of the league, particularly Colgate and BU, being dragged kicking and screaming from their current leagues. Well, adding the Ivies, especially Harvard, Yale, and Cornell, do that just fine. And while the Ivies certainly like their current situation, Cornell would certainly warm up to the idea of having Boston back on their schedule on an annual basis. Princeton would like having additional teams nearby, as would Brown and Dartmouth. And the geography of the teams makes for a ideal travel partner situation. The New England schools could be reshuffled in multiple ways, but we could see something like:
And having some old Ivy foes back in the fold would help ease the sting of being forced to leave HE behind for the Terriers, while Colgate would basically be still in the ECAC with some replacements. Holy Cross gets to upgrade from the Atlantic, and Lehigh and Lafayette get to build momentum by assocating with schools familiar with their fanbases, both in terms of conference mates and in terms of schools they already regularly play out of conference. Army would likely be the lone unhappy school, but they don't share a conference with Air Force in any other sport, and so as long as Air Force can wind up on their feet in a better conference, Army would likely go along with this plan without complaints. And if not, they'd be outvoted anyway.
Of course, this leaves the ECAC at an unviable five teams. While RIT would certainly be a shoe-in addition, Hockey East can now invite QU knowing that their primary reason for saying no is no longer relevant. But then that leaves HE at 11. Well, the next most likely addition would be RPI. But, they're not likely to leave Union behind. So, the remaining four ECAC schools depart for Atlantic Hockey. With Air Force likely heading to one of the Western conferences as a result of Army leaving, that gives Atlantic Hockey 12 teams, and likely be locked in for the future as a viable conference.
On the women's side it gets tricky, since of the combined Ivy and PL schools, Army doesn't field a women's team, resulting in an odd number of schools (unless only one of Lehigh or Lafayette sponsors women's hockey, but I find that unlikely). QU though also winds up sliding over to HE, resulting in 9 teams there. And as before, RPI (or any of the other remaining ECAC schools) are going to come without the others, or at least their travel partner, so they all head to College Hockey America, giving it 10 teams, barring the WCHA poaching one or more schools, but outright collapse is unlikely in this scenario with the additional New York teams in the fold.
In any case, the Lehigh Valley schools could very well be the catalyst for an Eastern shakeup akin to the creation of the Big Ten. Or, it could not.
I doubt it happens for one pretty important reason - those schools aren't particularly large. But if it did, there could very well be cause for Hockey East fans to point and laugh at BU fans as their team finds themselves being forced to leave for a worse conference.
1: By which I mean the A-10, American, ACC, Big East, Big Ten, Big 12, Pac-12, and SEC, though obviously a B1G team auto joins that conference and some of these don't fit geographically. (And before anyone says "but what about Rhode Island?", they're an A-10 school, and thus already included in this group). 2: 152 games, as of 2016, with several seasons in which it was played as a home and home in the same season. There has been a single year in which the teams did not play since the first game in 1884. 1896, meaning the game has been played 119 years straight with no interruptions. 3: The official name of what we usually refer to simply as "DI" on the women's side due to the truncated division structure. 4: At least going by the conventional wisdom that expansion beyond 12 is not really feasible. 5: Though as I have long maintained, a) the Ivies and Colgate outnumber the Liberty League schools 7 to 4 and thus are more likely to get their way, and b) HC for QU maintains the travel partner system more effectively than RIT for QU. RIT is going to need Colgate to leave to have a better chance of getting in. 6: CBS Sports currently has rights to the Patriot League, Army Football, and the Mountain West, likely in part because of the service academy's followings. This could help the NCHC get a better deal from CBS, and Hockey East to get a national deal with a network not owned by Sinclair, particularly since the CBS (College) Sports Network has broadcast Hockey East games in the past. 7: Granted, technically CAA Football is a separate league altogether. And also has 12 teams currently, but a) when has that stopped anyone, and b) besides full member JMU, some of the northern schools have been flight risks in the recent past. Having some sense of stability is always a good thing. 8: Well, mostly. BU isn't exactly small. Or a Liberal Arts school. And of course Army/Navy aren't private. 9: In terms of Academic prestige anyway. UNH football has actually been one of the better FCS programs over the last 15 years. 10: Incidentally, this was actually cited as one of the reasons why UMass jumped to FBS in football. 11: Again, life doesn't work that way. Just because you were technically the original Big East doesn't make you a Power Conference. Obviously bullet point 1 uses the basketball defintiion (or at least /collegebasketball's, since no one can really agree on where the American, A-10, or the current BE fits in - while some argue the BE as a member of the P6, others argue that you have to be a football sponsoring conference to be a true Power conference, and the American and A-10 are a cut above the mid-majors, but whether they deserve to be considered Power conferences is another story. So, the major label is simply applied to sidestep the issue altogether) 12: Cue BU fans going that's going to weigh the league down? 13: The conference was founded as a non-scholarship league, and even now Georgetown doesn't offer football scholarships. 14: Fan sentiment aside, losing top programs to other conferences isn't exactly a good thing for the conference as a whole. 15: Of course, Lindenwood or Penn State would wind up making that point moot anyway, but that's beside the point. 16: which it can't by definition.

Free VOD reviews from GM main tank

Hello reddit,

If any of you remember me, I made a post about taking my twitch stream in the coaching direction last week. First, I just want to say that I cannot thank you all enough, as my twitch following exploded literally over night after that post. I woke up to a flooded inbox, 400% twitch follower growth, and many new discord friends. I have since then created a discord server and had a very successful coaching stream in which I reviewed 4 VODs to a live audience, and consequently hit twitch affiliate immediately after the stream was over.

If you did not see my post, I want to explain myself a bit for a sec: I am a GM main tank player and a brand new streamer. I have been GM every season since season 5 and have some experience in organized team play. I am looking to not be just another streamer who streams himself playing video games in silence. I want to make my stream about you guys. I want my purpose to be helping everyone else to become the best players they can be.

For that reason, I am extending my coaching services for free. There is a (not too long) wait-list for it right now, but I am willing to take a submission from anybody who wants their VOD reviewed by me. I have it set up on a first come first serve basis currently, so be quick! I can coach any hero, so don't be scared to send in your sick Widowmaker VODs!

I invite you all to join my awesome discord community on my server: https://discord.gg/SAEytv

There you can send me your VOD submissions, talk to other people seeking to improve their gameplay, and just generally chill with people of similar value sets in an awesome environment. The discord is brand new so it's a little bare-bones right now, but I will be making improvements on the fly. There is even a suggestion box so you all can help me make it even better!

So please send me your VODs! I genuinely feel that I can help you all climb. In fact, I've already gotten loads of positive feedback from the people I coached on Wednesday of this past week. One of them even told me that they climbed 300 sr the very next day and hit masters for the very first time because of my advice! I want to help you all improve just like he did.

If you're too shy to send in a VOD of your own gameplay, feel free to join my discord server anyway or to stop by my stream. You will definitely learn a thing or two just watching somebody elses VOD get reviewed. You can find me @ www.twitch.tv/fragehardt. I stream every Wednesday at 4pm EST and every Saturday at 1pm EST.

Thanks again for being so awesome to me everyone! I hope you all have a great night :)\

P.S. I hope the mods don't take this down for advertisement. I am not looking for any financial gain here as I am offering my coaching services free of charge. I hope that makes it okay!

My rough draft political platform

One day I would like to run for office so in my spare time I work on my platform. What do you think? Any plank suggestions? Would you vote for me? Thanks for any comments ahead of time.

Campaign finance reform- This is a whole subject of its own but we need to keep money from corrupting our political system. Lets start with getting rid of citizens united. Maybe we could make the rule that politicians could only take money from individuals and no more than 100 bucks a person? They couldn’t take money from businesses or organizations. I should also mention that politicians spend WAY too much time fundraising. That takes up most of their time. If we freed them from that, they would have time to actually work for us.

Election reform- This is another huge subject with gerrymandering and voter suppression but we need to stop these crazy district shapes as method of gaming the system. We need to get rid of this dumbass electoral college. we need to to change voting day to a weekend and make it a national holiday. We need to make voting super easy so you can do it on your phone. The system needs to be super secure and transparent. We need to defend our elections from all the methods people use to game the system. We also need to switch to Approval voting. First pass the poll is terrible.

We also need to get rid of the party system. We may have needed political parties at one point in the past but we don’t need them anymore. You can run a government and elections without political parties. People choose political parties at a rate of a coin flip. Why do you think elections are almost always so close? People usually pick a party and stick with it their entire life. This two party system just turns people against each other. They see themselves as adversaries so they act that way. Politicians don’t think for themselves. They almost always vote with their party. If there were no more parties, then the politicians and people would have to think for themselves. We could make a rule like this….If they publicly declare they are a member of a party, then they will be disqualified and booted from the ballot. Nobody would get thrown in jail for belonging to a party but they would just not be allowed to get on the ballot if they are a member of a party. There would also be a rules so that ballots have no mention of political affiliations. Ballots would just have a persons name and nothing else. Their IQ next to their name would be nice but I know that's asking a lot.

Switch to the metric system- Everyone else uses it because they know its superior. We can't afford not to switch. We lost a 125 million dollar mars orbiter because someone used the wrong measuring standard. If there was only one standard of measurement, mistakes like this wouldn’t happen.

Limit terms for the supreme court- We can’t have senile people on the supreme court. We need to institute something like 10 or 15 year limits.

News reform- The profit motive has totally corrupted our system of news dissemination. The only way to fix it is to pass a law that says news organizations must be non profit organizations. If you want press credentials or access to the white house, then you can’t be a for profit company. If we need to subsidize some of these news organizations, then that's what we’ll do. Accurate and trustworthy news is vital to health, success, and safety of our country.
If you knowingly disseminate stories you know not to be true, you get jail time.
If you disseminate stories or facts that turn out to be false, then you have to print a retraction at the same level. So a mistake on the front page below the fold must be retracted on the front page below the fold. A mistake on the 9pm news must be retracted in the same time slot.

We need to fix the healthcare system. Now this is an insanely massive subject but I’ll try to get in some of the basics.
-First and foremost, we need a single payer healthcare system funded thru our taxes. We should scrap the veterans health admin, medicare, and medicaid. Lets put everyone together under a single umbrella. Every single man, woman, and child would be enrolled at birth. Private insurers could still exist but their insurance would be supplemental to the Public Health Insurance System and paid for out of pocket.
The per person cost of a Single payer system could be kept low because…
Every single healthy person is enrolled so that brings the overall cost down.
Private healthcare has to make a profit but a single payer gov system doesn't so there's a significant savings there.
A universal system can use its shear weight to negotiate super low prices for prescription meds. We should be paying Canada prices. Not to mention hospitals charging 10 bucks for a band-aid.
We could bring down prices even more with tort reform and capped verdicts in medical malpractice suits. Doctors charge so much because they have to pay out the ass for mal practice insurance.
Another huge way to save is to change how we handle end of life care. We can’t keep spending a half million dollars to keep a 91 year old woman alive for an extra 3 weeks. A large portion of your lifetime medical expenses come from your end of life care.
If you want to go even more nuts, pay for anybody who wants to go to medical school. If med schools are free, then you’re going to have many more doctors. More doctors means lower prices. Lastly, at the very minimum we should ditch the paper records and start going all digital. The efficiency and organization at the VHA is cartoonishly terrible.
Combine all these things and you have cheap quality healthcare for all.
Oh, also lets make the organ donor program opt-out instead of opt-in. We would have plenty of organs if we just changed the sign up form to opt-out.

Pro-Choice- Pregnancy termination isn’t something to be happy about but it is necessary for now. What I never see is people talking about how we could render the whole abortion issue moot by putting a shit ton of money and effort into birth control research. What we need is a new method that's cheap and simple. One pill or shot that you get as a child to turn off your reproductive system and another pill or shot to turn it back on when you are ready to have children. No unplanned pregnancies means no need for abortions. There are other benefits too. population control and less unwanted children means less people grow up unloved and become criminals.

Reform criminal justice system
Eliminate death penalty- At the very least we should move to the more humane hypoxia method of execution. I’m not against the concept of the death penalty but we have an imperfect court system and innocent people get wrongly convicted all the time.

End the war on drugs- What we need to do is decriminalizing drug purchase and possession. Some things like marijuana and prescription drugs should be totally legalized, taxed, and regulated. Some things like crystal meth and fentanyl might be too toxic or dangerous to be allowed but you shouldn’t be put in jail for possessing it. Drug use should be treated as health issue not a crime issue. People need to be sent to rehab not jail.

Prison reform- Most people are in jail for drugs so if we end the war on drugs that's gonna save us a fortune on prisons and policing. We really need to deprivatize prisons. Put an end to this prison industrial complex. Prisons should be more about rehabilitation and reform of the prisoner. There should even be smart prisons with no guards. Just automation and robots. African-Americans need to be treated equal to white people in courts.

Immigration reform- Another complicated issue.
We need to do things like let them pay taxes and get work passes so they can cross the boarder to work on farms. Make sure we give them ID’s. There needs to be streamlining and simplification of the immigration process.

Decrease military spending- We spend way to much on the military. I believe that our military is so top tier that we could win any war with couch cushion change. They don’t need trillion dollar budgets.

Institute a department of efficiency- we need to institute a department whose sole job is to sift through the bureaucracy and eliminate the inefficiencies. I would also like to start an inefficiency bounty program. If someone notifies us of an inefficiency, then they get a percentage of the money we save or a predetermined amount of money. The efficiency department would also be responsible for all government buying.

Pass a law to give workers more vacation time and paid leave for maternity. Americans are worked to death. I’m not saying we should be as lazy as Europeans but we could definitely use more vacation time.

Put WAY more money into scientific research. We need to be at the forefront of knowledge and tech. Its really a national security issue. We can’t let China out science us.

Free Fiber internet utility- The gov should provide a high speed Internet fiber utility service for everyone. Companies like Comcast give us shitty slow service and make us pay thru the teeth for it because they are a monopoly.

Support net neutrality

Break up communication monopolies

Safe nuclear reactors- We need to phase out old nuclear plant designs and start building the kind that cannot melt down under any circumstance. Nuclear power can be done safely.

Education reform- There’s a million things we need to change here. Stop paying 200 bucks for a textbook riddled with errors. Make text books open source. Smaller classrooms. Let people move thru grades at their own pace. Other countries are beating us on the education front.

Make college free for all. An intelligent educated society is good for everyone.

Make the move off oil, gas, and coal. Let’s focus on renewables like solar and wind

Let’s end our dependence on foreign oil imports

Put bankers in jail if they destroy the economy.

Recognize that global warming is real.

Simplify tax system and close all the loop holes. You shouldn’t have to hire experts to figure out your taxes. It should be dead simple. Rich people and corps should pay their fair share.

Reasonable gun control-
Anyone could own a gun as long as you passed a background check. A check that looks for a documented history of mental illness or a history of violence. Like assaults and domestic abuse. If you aren't crazy or violent, you can have a gun. No more gun show sales. Only licensed brick and mortar stores can sell guns. No sales allowed between individuals. Also, you are responsible for the gun you buy. If you lend it to a friend that kills someone or don't properly secure it and its stolen, then you can be held partly responsible for that crime. You can buy assault rifles but you have to pass a stricter background check and you have to be interviewed by a shrink to make sure you are stable. The same rules of responsibility would apply as well.
We could pass a "No fame" law that would help with mass shootings. “No fame” is where you make it illegal to publish the shooters name or picture so they cant get famous from a shooting.
I'd also like to add that there are other ways to stop mass shooters that don't involve gun laws. Like the "No fame" law and improving the mental healthcare system and the school system. Schools should do more to identify and help kids with mental issues. We need to be providing a better quality of mental healthcare for our population.

Give the president line item veto power

Raise the minimum wage

Eliminate farm subsidies

Universal ID card- Lets get rid of State licenses, Passports, and social security cards. Replace everything with a single smart ID card that can store our health, driving, and travel records. It would be great not to have to fill out damn forms every time you find a new doctor.

Invest in our infrastructure like roads and bridges and the electrical grid. This will create lots of quality jobs.

A strategy of achieving our goals thru non-military methods

Integrate and standardize policing across the country. Policing should be standardized from city to city and state to state. They should all be sharing data too.

Crack down on police shooting unarmed people. Prosecute the ones who do. Retrain them to deescalate situations. They need to be more like community ambassadors and not soldiers.

Reassess the forensic sciences. For example, fingerprint and bite identification can be totally subjective. One expert may say that's the guy but another could disagree entirely.

Reinforce the separation of church and state.

Treat our animals better- We kill a massive number of animals on a daily basis for food. The least we can do is treat them with respect. Lets stop cramming them in cages knee deep in their own crap. We should also kill them using the hypoxia method which is far more humane than a bolt gun. I’d like to see some animals like chimps, elephants, and dolphins given some simple rights. There needs to be a test devised than can determine which animals have a rudimentary form of consciousness. Lastly, we should start investing serious money and effort into growing our meats in labs. It would be ideal if we could just grow zombie animals with bodies and no brains. Have them exercise on treadmills or something.

Legalize gay marriage

Eliminate the tactic of dividing military equipment manufacturing into many states to manipulate politicians. Like where an airplane wing is made in one state and the tail is made in another and the engine is made in 8 states.

Vaccines should be required by law.

Legalize prostitution- we need to protect women and stop the spread of STDs.

We need to make politicians getting a job with a company they oversaw previously in public service illegal. We can’t have the head of the FCC kissing Corp ass then getting a cushy high paid job at Verizon after he leaves government.

Patent reform- Out patent system is total garbage right now and that stifles innovation and hurts the economy.

Stronger EPA- we need to keep our world clean.

Stronger SEC- the need to give them teeth to punish rule breakers on Wall Street.

We need a way to force politicians to read the bills that come across their desk. Most of them never even read the bills they vote on.

There needs to be congressional term limits. Also an age limit of 65.

no more foreign cash aid. food aid is fine.

legalize gambling but have strict rules

Politicians Aptitude test- we should make politicians take IQ tests and put their number next to their names instead of Rs or Ds. We need to know just how stupid they are.

Free birth control and no prescription required

Restore glass steagall

Limit how much corporate executives can make. Maybe we could pass a law that says that they can’t make more than the 100x the lowest paid employees. So if the ceo wants to make more money, they have to pay their lowest paid employees better.

Get rid of broadcast censorship. Let people swear and show boobs on tv.

Prenuptial agreements are required for a marriage license. This would unclog our courts and make peoples lives less nightmarish.

Only allow politicians with related backgrounds to handle legislation in that area. Like a politician with a science background would handle science related legislation and politicians with medical backgrounds would handle medical legislation. Some idiot politician who can barely check their email shouldn’t be in charge of our cyber defense.

Let's put more money and effort into cyber defense. Wars are starting to be fought online. We need to be ahead of the pack.

Let’s put more money into asteroid monitoring and diversion research.

Theres a light...part one of ten

Jesse was a great political writer who could hold his own as a sports writer as well.
It was there, one Saturday afternoon, when everything was about to change dramatically.
He was busy behind the bar that day, as the crowd was a bit larger than normal for a Saturday afternoon.
There were two tvs in the bar, one always tuned to C-span, the other to some obscure sports station. The sports station carried the first alert at 4:27 pm. C-span placed their alert at 4:39 pm. Jesse had been glancing at the sports station every few minutes as a lacrosse match played out, so he was the first to see the alert.
“Hey Sal, could you turn up sport? There’s something happening.” Everyone referred to the tvs by their purpose instead of placement. Since this particular t was by the dart board, it was the sport tv, so that’s all that ever played on it.
There appear to have been several chemical or biological attacks coordinated throughout the northern hemisphere at roughly the same time, 10:04 GMT, 6:04 on the eastern seaboard. Reports are coming in from across the globe, the details still seem hazy, though one thing is consistent with them all.
C-SPAN started their live coverage a few minutes after the group left the bar. Their coverage was brief, explaining that there was now a national emergency and that curfew was being implemented immediately and until further notice, then cut to our local news.

We both turned toward the sound and were met with the sight of a man strangling Eliot while trying to chew his ear off. It was the most extreme scene I had ever seen. The man attacking Eliot was no more than a hundred and twenty pounds, but Eliot was no match for his rage. I was in such a deep shock that I couldn’t move. Jesse sprang from his seat and brought a bottle of beer down on the attackers head. A shriek escaped Eliots lips, then he went down in a heap while the man on top of him kept biting and choking. A golf club suddenly ended the mans attack.
“I’ve been waiting for these fuckers to show up.” Sal said matter of factly while holding a five iron n his hands.

Eliot wasn’t breathing. The man that Sal had hit wasn’t moving either. The front door was quickly being boarded shut.
I didn’t see the next attack, but I definitely heard it. A fellow customer had slipped into the storage and had apparently attempted to escape through the back door. There was a sudden scream from the back and what could only be explained as a wolf or dog growling and biting into flesh. It was a completely feral sound, standing the hair on my neck and arms up in a horrified way. Now there was some sort of wild animal loose in the back of the bar. I glanced out between the newly constructed slats on the door and saw the sunset. It was beautiful. I wanted it to be the last memory of a terrible day, showing me a beacon to the safety of home.

  • JUNE 28TH - SIC Hearing On Russian Interference in Europe, Trump's Reluctance, Various SIC Business, Kaspersky Lab Restrictions, Sekulow's Charity Investigation, DIA Report On Kremlin US Regime Change Fears, And More
  • (A) - SENATE INTEL HEARING ON RUSSIAN INTERVENTION IN EUROPEAN ELECTIONS
  • Burns
  • Burr
  • Garcevic
  • Lavrov (by extension)
  • Sarts
  • Stelzenmueller
  • Warner
The SIC held a hearing on Russian attempts to influence European elections with 4 individuals; Stelzenmueller, expert on German, European, and transatlantic foreign and security policy and strategy and senior fellow at the Brookings Institution, Garcevic, former ambassador to Montenegro, Burns, former ambassador to Greece and NATO, and Sarts, former Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs.
Garcevic's testimony "focused on steps taken by the Montenegrin government to counter such interference and recommendations to further counter Russian efforts to interfere in the elections of NATO countries." "According to Garcevic, plotters disguised in police uniforms were preparing to storm the Montenegrin Parliament and provoke turmoil by shooting at citizens waiting for election results. The plotters also intended to detain or assassinate the Prime Minister, Garcevic testified. Acting on a tip from an informant, Montenegrin police were able to arrest most of the plot suspects." "14 people were charged, including two opposition politicians and two Russian agents... of the Russian Military Intelligence Service, who are identified as the ringleaders of the operation, Garcevic testified." They "used about $230,000 from Russia for weapons, uniforms, shields and other equipment for the attack on the Parliament." "Garcevic’s written testimony noted that a suspected "key plotter still at large" named Nemanja Ristic was photographed months after the failed coup "standing near Russian foreign minister Lavrov."
"Moscow has made no progress in Montenegro, and it has seemingly lost a possibility of having a strategically significant outlet on the Adriatic Sea," Garcevic said. "But, Moscow will continue exploiting loopholes that exist in most of the Balkans states: democratic incapacity, corruption, ethnic tensions, countries’ economic and military needs, and growing feelings of marginalization of those countries ‘on the path’ to the EU and NATO."
Warner explained that, "Russia’s blatant interference in the United States’ 2016 presidential election was unprecedented in scale and scope, and we’ve seen it replicated across Europe. In fact, Russia’s active measures are only growing bolder and more brazen in the digital age."
Burns told lawmakers, "I find it dismaying and objectionable that Trump continues to deny the undeniable fact that Russia launched a major cyber attack against the United States, regardless of what party they launched it against." He urges Congress to impose tougher sanctions on Russia.
Stelzenmueller said "In many ways its meddling in European elections over the past year has produced the exact opposite of what was intended. It has produced stable, democratic, and non-populace governments that are pro-European Union and, indeed, pro-NATO, pro-American." However she added that the real threat are Russian attempts to get inside "voters heads." She said, "they're trying to hack our political consciousness."
Sarts "recommended that European nations and the U.S. must first create "societal awareness" of cyber attacks and collaborate with media organizations to help them understand "how they might be manipulated."

  • (B) - TRUMP WON'T ACCEPT THAT RUSSIA INTERFERED IN ELECTION
  • Burns
  • Comey (by extension)
  • Rogers
  • Sessions (by extension)
  • Trump
Several officials, most notably NSA Director Rogers, have expressed frustration over Trump's unwillingness to accept that Russia interfered in the election. "Rogers vented frustration over his fruitless efforts to lawmakers during a recent closed-door briefing on Capitol Hill." Rogers "also reportedly said the White House lacked focus about the continued threat of the Kremlin's cyber efforts, especially regarding voting systems." In an open Senate Intel Committee a senior administration official said that he's seen no evidence, such as schedules, readouts or briefing documents, "to indicate Trump has dedicated time to the issue." Former ambassador to NATO Burns, "a career foreign service officer who served under presidents of both parties" told the SIC that if Trump "continues to refuse to act it's a dereliction of the basic duty to defend the country." Comey, during the SIC hearing, had stated that during his nine conversations with Trump, he didn't ask him about the interference. Sessions, during his briefing, testified that "he had never received a briefing on Russia's election meddling efforts -- even before he officially recused himself from the collusion investigation."

  • (C) - STONE TO TESTIFY IN CLOSED HOUSE INTEL HEARING
  • HIC
  • Podesta (by extension)
  • Stone
Stone will testify in a closed hearing before the House Intel Committee on July 24th. He said that he wanted to testify in public in order to rebut Podesta's claims made before the HIC on June 27th, that he had "knowledge of the hacking of Podesta's email by WikiLeaks in advance," but "was told by the GOP-led House panel, that "they're done with public [hearings]." Stone had "talked in March about being in touch with Guccifer 2.0 ... and boasted during the campaign about his contact with WikiLeaks. "Stone predicted last summer on Twitter that there would be an October surprise that would disrupt Clinton’s campaign, and he even suggested Podesta would face scandal shortly before the Democrat’s emails started surfacing on WikiLeaks."

  • (D) - SIC FOCUSED ON FINANCIAL TRANSACTIONS OF TRUMP ASSOCIATES
  • Burr
  • SIC
  • Warner
The SIC is now reviewing over 2,000 documents it received from FinCEN, the Treasury Department's financial crimes unit, after reported negotiations "to hold up a Treasury nominee until they received the information," according to Warner. However a Treasure spokesman disputed the notion, stating, "Any suggestion that Treasury’s cooperation with the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence was the product of ‘protracted negotiations’ is incorrect. Treasury’s staff has devoted countless hours to providing a prompt and professional response to the committee’s requests, and any comments to the contrary are baseless and inappropriate. Treasury remains committed to cooperating with the committee."
Burr noted that "It’s hard to assess [whether any of the documents will be relevant to the probe]. This won’t be the first tranche of documents that we’ve gotten that were of little to no value. We haven’t gotten any new leads, I’ll put it that way." He also said that the committee had received a commitment that his panel would get access to Comey's memos.

  • (E) - SIC ASKS STATE ELECTION OFFICIALS FOR INTERFERENCE INFORMATION
  • Burr
  • SIC
  • Warner
After officials refused to identify which states were affected by Russian interference "citing the need to protect the confidentiality of the states affected", Burr and Warner "asked election officials in 21 states to make public information about Russian efforts to hack their elections systems." Warner said, "as the oversight committee for all intelligence issues, this committee is entitled to have this information."

  • (F) - RUSSIAN CYBER-SECURITY COMPANY, KASPERSKY LAB, TO FACE RESTRICTIONS
  • Flynn
  • Kaspersky
  • Kaspersky Lab
  • Rubio
"A provision in a Senate spending bill that is likely to become law would bar the Defense Department from doing business with Kaspersky Lab, the Russian cyber-security company whose employees were interviewed at their homes this week by FBI agents." "The decision to ban the products within the National Defense Authorization Act, comes after the FBI visited at least 10 Kaspersky employees' homes."
This also comes after Rubio asked chiefs of the NSA, CIA, FBI, and 3 other intelligence agencies during a hearing, "whether they would be comfortable using Kaspersky products. Each said no." The company "sells anti-virus software across the world to consumers, businesses and government agencies, including some elements of the U.S. government." The company's owner, Eugene Kaspersky "graduated in 1987 from the Soviet KGB-backed Institute of Cryptography, Telecommunications, and Computer Science." The company paid Flynn $11,250 in 2015 "for cyber-security consulting."
"In a statement, Kaspersky Lab said it "has no ties to any government, and the company has never helped, nor will help, any government in the world with its cyberespionage efforts. The company has a 20-year history in the IT security industry of always abiding by the highest ethical business practices, and Kaspersky Lab believes it is completely unacceptable that the company is being unjustly accused without any hard evidence to back up these false allegations. Kaspersky Lab is available to assist all concerned government organizations with any ongoing investigations, and the company ardently believes a deeper examination of Kaspersky Lab will confirm that these allegations are unfounded."

  • (G) - MANAFORT DONATED TO MOST RUSSIA FRIENDLY REPRESENTATIVE
  • Manafort
  • McCarthy
  • Rohrabacher
  • Ryan
Revealed from Manafort's foreign agent registration is a report that he donated $1,000 to Rep. Rohrabacher 3 days after meeting him on March 19th, 2013. Rohrabacher "praised Putin by saying "I don’t think there’s anything wrong with a country being led by a ruler who wants their country to be a great country." As a result Rohrabacher has earned the epithet "Putin’s favorite congressman." Previous leaked reports of secret undisputed conversations among top GOP politicians indicate that House Majority Leader, Kevin McCarthy, said, "There's two people I think Putin pays, Rohrabacher and Trump." "In the Post piece, McCarthy’s remark is met with laughter, and Ryan cautions his colleagues, “This is an off the record . . . No leaks! . . . All right?" And then, amid more laughter, Ryan says, "This is how we know we’re a real family here." "That’s how you know that we’re tight," Steve Scalise, the House Majority Whip, says. "What’s said in the family stays in the family," Ryan concludes."

Following yesterday's report that Sekulow and his family have been paid over $60 million by Sekulow's charity, Christian Advocates Serving Evangelism (CASE), two state attorneys general are probing the payments. The two attorneys general are Stein of North Carolina and Schneiderman of New York. Stein said in a statement, "The reports I’ve read are troubling. My office is looking into this matter." Schneiderman's spokeswoman said that they're reviewing the filings. The attorney's general decided to act after yesterday's report in The Guardian. "Federal law prohibits nonprofits from receiving payments or compensation that exceed fair market value, or "excessive benefit," from their organizations."

  • (I) - KASOWITZ TO POSTPONE FILING COMPLAINT AGAINST COMEY
  • Comey
  • Kasowitz
After initial threats to file complaints against Comey's release of the his memos, Kasowitz has now postponed the filing, reportedly in an attempt to "stop antagonizing the special counsel" and "tamp down the confrontation Trump initially stoked with Mueller" according to "a person familiar with the decision."
"Norman Eisen, Obama’s former ethics czar and chairman of the advocacy group Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington, promised to file a defense of Comey. He has called the planned Trump complaint "an abuse of process" in a Twitter message and added: "beware there are serious consequences for abuse of process."
Kasowitz said in a statement, "We will leave it to the appropriate authorities to determine whether these leaks should be investigated along with all the others being investigated."
According to Mark Zaid, a veteran national security lawyer in Washington who often represents government officials facing investigations in security investigations. "This is consistent with Donald Trump’s style — making blustery attacks with no follow-through and idle threats to intimidate with no substance."

  • (J) - INTEL REPORT: KREMLIN SEES US URGING REGIME CHANGE IN RUSSIA & AMPING UP MILITARY CAPACITIES
  • Yanukovych (by extension)
According to a Defense Intelligence Agency report prepared before the 2016 election, Russia is concerned that the US is trying to change regime in the Kremlin. The report cites Russia has, "deep and abiding distrust of US efforts to promote democracy around the world and what it perceives as a US campaign to impose a single set of global values." "Moscow worries that U.S. attempts to dictate a set of acceptable international norms threatens the foundations of Kremlin power by giving license for foreign meddling in Russia's internal affairs."
Furthermore "the Kremlin is convinced the US is laying the groundwork for regime change in Russia, a conviction further reinforced by the events in Ukraine", the report says, referring to claims by Russian claims that the US engineered a popular uprising that led to the removal of a pro-Russian Ukrainian president, Yanukovych, in 2014." His ouster "led the Russian government to annex Ukraine’s Crimean peninsula."
"The Russian military today is on the rise — not as the same Soviet force that faced the West in the Cold War, dependent on large units with heavy equipment,“ the report says. The rebuild military is "a smaller, more mobile, balanced force rapidly becoming capable of conducting the full range of modern warfare."
From the report, p. 37 ff.:

CYBER

Russia views the information sphere as a key domain for modern military conflict. Moscow perceives the information domain as strategically decisive and critically important to control its domestic populace and influence adversary states. Information warfare is a key means of achieving its ambitions of becoming a dominant player on the world stage.
Since at least 2010, the Russian military has prioritized the development of forces and means for what it terms "information confrontation," which is a holistic concept for ensuring information superiority, during peacetime and wartime. This concept includes control of the information content as well as the technical means for disseminating that content. Cyber operations are part of Russia’s attempts to control the information environment.
The weaponization of information is a key aspect of Russia’s strategy and is employed in time of peace, crisis, and war. In practice, information battles draw upon psychological warfare tactics and techniques from the Soviet Era for influencing Western societies. Moscow views information and psychological warfare as a measure to neutralize adversary actions in peace to prevent escalation to crisis or war. Chief of the General Staff Gerasimov announced that "information operations troops" were involved for the first time in the Kavkaz-2016 strategic command staff exercise in September 2016, demonstrating Russian military commitment to controlling the information domain.
Propaganda Helps Shape The Information Environment
Russian propaganda strives to influence, confuse, and demoralize its intended audience, often containing a mixture of true and false information to seem plausible and fit into the preexisting worldview of the intended audience. Russian propaganda targets a wide variety of audiences, including its own population, selected populations of other countries, domestic and foreign political elites, and the West writ large. The variety of techniques for disseminating Russian propaganda include pro-Kremlin "news" websites and TV and radio channels such as Russia Today and Sputnik News, bots and trolls on social media, search engine optimization, and paid journalists in Western and other foreign media.

  • JUNE 29TH - Voter Fraud Commission, McCain's Opinion Article, Flynn & Russian Hackers, The 25th Amendment, And Much More
  • (A) - VOTER FRAUD COMMISSION AND PUSHBACK BY STATES
  • Kobach
  • Trump
  • Padilla
  • Cuomo
  • Grimes
  • McAuliffe
  • Merril
On May 11th Trump signed an executive order to create an " Election Integrity Commission" after he claimed, without evidence, that 3 to 5 million undocumented immigrants voted illegally.
The vice chairman of the commission, Kansas Sec. of State Kobach, has now "penned a letter to all 50 states requesting their full voter-roll data, including the name, address, date of birth, party affiliation, last four Social Security number digits and voting history back to 2006 of potentially every voter in the state." "Kobach has made it a central issue of his tenure in Kansas and has secured nine voter-fraud convictions. Most were older Republican voters."
Immediately following this multiple states, both majorly Democratic and Republican, have refused to turn anything over. California, New York, Kentucky and Virginia have said they will refuse to comply with the request.
  • California's Sec. of State Padilla said, "I will not provide sensitive voter information to a commission that has already inaccurately passed judgment that millions of Californians voted illegally. California's participation would only serve to legitimize the false and already debunked claims of massive voter fraud made by the President, the Vice President, and Mr. Kobach. The President's Commission is a waste of taxpayer money and a distraction from the real threats to the integrity of our elections today: aging voting systems and documented Russian interference in our elections"
  • NY Governor Cuomo said, "NY refuses to perpetuate the myth voter fraud played a role in our election. We will not comply with this request."
  • Kentucky Sec. of State Grimes said, "The president created his election commission based on the false notion that "voter fraud" is a widespread issue – it is not. Indeed, despite bipartisan objections and a lack of authority, the President has repeatedly spread the lie that three to five million illegal votes were cast in the last election. Kentucky will not aid a commission that is at best a waste of taxpayer money and at worst an attempt to legitimize voter suppression efforts across the country."
  • Virginia Governor McAuliffe called the request "politically motivated" and "silly posturing." "This entire commission is based on the specious and false notion that there was widespread voter fraud last November. At best this commission was set up as a pretext to validate Donald Trump’s alternative election facts, and at worst is a tool to commit large-scale voter suppression."
  • Connecticut's Sec. of State, Merril said she would, "share publicly-available information with the Kobach Commission while ensuring that the privacy of voters is honored by withholding protected data" and that Kobach "has a lengthy record of illegally disenfranchising eligible voters in Kansas. Given Secretary Kobach's history we find it very difficult to have confidence in the work of this Commission."
"Gupta, chief executive of the Leadership Conference on Civil Rights and former head of the Justice Department's civil rights division said that the letter is "laying the groundwork for voter suppression, plain & simple." "A federal judge ruled that some of Kobach's proposed ID requirements constituted a “mass denial of a fundamental constitutional right."
COURANT - THE HILL - TIME - WASHINGTON POST - WFPL.ORG
  • (B) - MCCAIN ON RUSSIAN THREAT LEVEL
  • McCain
McCain, in an opinion piece in USA Today, writes that the "Russia threat is dead serious" Montenegro coup and murder plot proves it." Following the Senate Intel hearing with 4 officials yesterday about Russian interference in Europe, McCain writes that Putin has violent ambitions in the small Balkan country where "Russian politicians and oligarchs are reported to own as much as 40% of the real estate." The coup attempt by Russian intelligence operatives involved overthrowing the government and murdering the prime minister. Montenegro is seen as an important place for Russia because of its access to the Adriatic Sea which would be completely under NATO control if Montenegro decided to joined (as it did on June 5th 2017 following the election). "Russia unsuccessfully sought a naval base in Montenegro a few years ago."
McCain writes that the Oct. 16 election was "a last chance to stop [Montenegro] from joining NATO and to reassert Russian influence in southeastern Europe."
"This month, a Montenegrin court accepted indictments against two Russians and 12 other people for their roles in the coup attempt. The American people must be aware of the allegations made in these indictments, which are now public. Pieced together, they reveal not only another blatant attack on democracy by the Russian government, but also an unmistakable warning that Putin will do whatever it takes to achieve his ambition to restore the Russian empire."
The plan was this: "As Election Day protests were under way in front of the Montenegrin parliament, a group of 50 armed men, recruited by the Russian GRU agents and wearing police uniforms, would ambush and kill the members of Montenegro’s Special Anti-Terrorist Unit to prevent them from interfering with the coup. The armed men would then proceed to the parliament, where they'd begin shooting at members of the police defending the building. Led by the coup plotters, the protesters would then storm parliament and declare victory for the opposition. Within 48 hours, a new government would be formed and arrests would be made across the capital, including of Prime Minister Milo Djukanovic. If the prime minister could not be captured, he'd be killed. It appears the plot might even have involved trying to blame the United States for the violence. Arrests were made, and the plot was disrupted. In the aftermath, the Russian GRU agents tried to hire an assassin to kill Montenegro’s prime minister, but to no avail."
McCain continues, "This heinous plot should be a warning to every American that we cannot treat Russia’s interference in our 2016 election as an isolated incident. We have to stop looking at this through the warped lens of politics and see this attack on our democracy for what it is: just one phase of Putin’s long-term campaign to weaken the United States, to destabilize Europe, to break the NATO alliance, to undermine confidence in Western values, and to erode any and all resistance to his dangerous view of the world."

  • (C) - TRUMP-PUTIN G20 MEETING PREP
  • Cohn
  • Trump
  • Tillerson (by extension)
  • Lavrov (by extension)
Trump asked National Security Council staff to come up with "deliverables to offer as bargaining chips in his planned meeting with Putin," "including the return of the two diplomatic compounds," previously seized. Reportedly there is NSC and State Dept. resistance to offering "one-sided concessions aimed simply at improving the tone of US-Russian relations" and administration resistance to a formal bilateral meeting. Cohn, Trump's chief economic adviser, said the White House expected the meeting to be a formal bilateral one rather than an informal "pull-aside" conversation
The return of compounds was contemplated " initially in exchange for the Russian government lifting a freeze on construction of a new US consulate in St Petersburg" but this was dropped after Tillerson met with Lavrov on May 10th. Farakas, former deputy assistant secretary of state in the defense department for Russia, Ukraine and Eurasia, said "If Trump starts to undo any of those measures, including giving back the facilities in Maryland and New York then the Russian government will believe … they got away with what they did to us and believe me, they’ll try it again. Putin himself uses that phrase all the time: ‘With the eating grows the appetite’."

  • (D) - STOLEN CLINTON EMAILS TO FLYNN VIA RUSSIAN HACKERS
  • Flynn
  • Smith
  • York
Citing US intelligence reports, Russian hackers attempted to use an intermediary to transfer Clinton's hacked emailed to Flynn. The intermiediary, according to the Wall Street Journal, "may have been Peter Smith (who is now deceased), an 80-year-old opposition researcher who assembled a team of technology experts, lawyers and a Russian-speaking investigator in September to track down hacking groups with access to the 33,000 emails Clinton deleted from her private server."
Smith had a "working relationship with Flynn's consulting firm, when trying to recruit new team members." ... "He told Eric York, an expert on computer security from Atlanta who searched the hacker forums on his behalf, that he was "talking to Michael Flynn" about the project and to let him know if he found anything."
"Russian officials bragged about their close relationship to Flynn last year and boasted that they could use him to influence Trump. The way the Russians were talking about Flynn "was a five-alarm fire from early on," a former Obama administration official said."
"A Trump campaign official said that Smith didn’t work for the campaign, and that if Flynn coordinated with him in any way, it would have been in his capacity as a private individual."

  • (E) - CALLS TO INVESTIGATE SESSIONS
  • Horowitz
  • Kislyak
  • Rosenstein
  • Sessions
"All 34 Democratic members of the House judiciary and oversight committees have asked Inspector General Michael Horowitz to investigate Sessions for allegedly violating his recusal from ongoing investigations into Russia's interference in the election and the Trump campaign's possible role in it." The letter said, "Since the Department has failed to respond to multiple previous inquiries on this matter — despite promising to do so — we now ask that your office investigate and report back to us with any findings and recommendations you determine are warranted"
Although Sessions, during his testimony on June 13th, claims that he recused himself based on a Justice Dept. requirement that he do so due to the investigation being into the campaign which he was part of, he offered the recusal 1 day after the Washington Post reported, on March 1st, that he had failed to disclose two meetings he had with Kislyak during the campaign.
"The letter from House judiciary and oversight Democrats lays out their assertion that Sessions violated his recusal by discussing the Hillary Clinton email investigation with Rosenstein, and by recommending that Trump fire Comey"

  • McNally
  • OSJC Sberbank

Kasowitz, who advises Trump on the investigation into Russia's interference is head of a law firm that in 2015 represented the owner of a $296m New York real estate which was sold to Kushner, "in a deal that could fall under the spotlight of the same inquiry." Deutsche Bank reportedly loaned $285m to Kushner Companies for the purchase of the building. Kasowtiz also represents another possible conflict of interest entity, Russia’s largest bank OJSC Sberbank. Because Deutsche Bank may fall under Mueller's investigation, Kasowitz may be in a conflict of interest. However, his spokesman said in a statement, "There are no conflicts under any standard or by any definition."
Other potential current and past conflicts involve David Friedman, a partner at Kasowitz's law firm who was appointed ambassador to Israel; Joe Lieberman, the firm's senior counsel was considered as replacement director of the FBI; another partner, "Edward McNally, is reportedly in the running to replace Preet Bharara as US attorney for the southern district of New York," who Trump had fired and Kasowitz allegedly "bragged to friends that he played a role in having Bharara fired, by telling Trump: "This guy is going to get you." One of the major investigations conducted by the southern district of New York under Bharara was allegedly to look into Deutsche Bank’s involvement in alleged Russian money-laundering."
The property bought by Kushner was owned by one of Israel's richest businessman, Lev Leviev, whose Delaware LLC that bought the building in 2007, is registered at Trump's property (40 Wall Street) where Trump University existed. Leviev "claimed that he is a "true friend" of Putin."

  • Conaway
  • Schiff
The Republican chairman and Democratic co-chairman of the House Intel Committee, in a joint statement, stated that the White House needs to clarify the existence of the Oval Office Comey tapes because a tweet isn't enough. The statement in part said, "The President's statement on Twitter, and the White House's letter referring to the President's statement, were only partially responsive to the Committee's request. By only referring to the President's statement, the White House's letter stops short of clarifying for the Committee whether the White House has any responsive recordings, memoranda, or other documents. Today's letter from the Committee makes clear that should the White House not respond fully, the Committee will consider using compulsory process to ensure a satisfactory response."

  • Schumer
Sen. Corker "said lawmakers have an agreement and are working to fast-track the bill in the Senate so that it can pass a second time without a formal vote." Schumer and McConell have signed off on the bill. "The breakthrough comes less than a day after Corker warned that negotiations had reached a "point of total silliness" focused on "three words" of the roughly 140-page bill." Corker added, "I talked to Speaker Ryan last night late and I know they plan to take the bill up. We should have done this on Tuesday it would have already passed the House." ... "This is a technical issue that changes in no way the context of the bill."
Ryan said, of the bill's blockage in the House, "They wrote the bill incorrectly. They did not pass it correctly — they violated constitutional protocols."
Schumer said, "We wanted to send a message to Putin: If you interfere with our democratic institutions, you will be punished. It's important for Speaker Ryan to act on this legislation before July 4 recess."

In a press release, representatives Thompson, Brady and Pelosi "announced the formation of a Task Force to ensure the health and security of our nation’s election systems." "The Congressional Task Force on Election Security will address the lack of action to protect electoral infrastructure following Russia interfering and attempting to influence the 2016 Presidential election." The press release states, "To this day, we have seen no action from the Republican Congress or the Trump Administration to provide greater protection to our election systems." "The Congressional Task Force on Election Security is intended to be a forum for Members from the two Committees to hear from experts with expertise in cybersecurity and election infrastructure and identify policy recommendations that can help ensure the integrity of our election systems and guard against future attacks. "
Statements from Pelosi, Thompson and Brady were included. Pelosi stated that "we see an appalling absence of action, or even concern, from Trump and Congressional Republicans." Thompson stated, "If we continue to do nothing to protect the integrity of our election systems, we make it easy for Russia and other nefarious actors to impact future elections" and also criticized the administration and Congressional Republicans for a lack of response. Brady stated, "Free, fair, and secure elections are the cornerstone of our democracy, and Congress must take action to address this threat to our election security, and our national security."

The HIC wants to hold a close-door interview with Rice in July as part of its investigation into Russia meddling. "Trump and Republicans have focused on allegations that Rice revealed the names of Trump's transition aides in intelligence reports -- called "unmasking" -- saying that Obama officials were seeking to divulge damaging information about the Trump campaign." " Republican and Democratic lawmakers who reviewed the intelligence reports found no evidence that Obama administration officials did anything unusual or illegal."
"Two weeks after Nunes took a secret trip to the White House grounds to review intelligence about unmasking, Bloomberg reported that Rice had "unmasked" the names of Trump transition aides in classified reports. Three days after Rice's name was revealed, Nunes became the subject of a House ethics probe into whether he revealed classified information and was forced to step aside from leading the House Russia investigation."

  • (M) - 25TH AMENDMENT CALL AFTER 'MORNING JOE' TWEET
  • Trump
  • Ryan (by extension)
  • Hatch
  • Olbermann
Trump's tweet attacks on Mika Brzezinski over an alleged facelift invoke calls for usage of section 4 of the 25th amendment. The tweets were: "I heard poorly rated @Morning_Joe speaks badly of me (don't watch anymore). Then how come low I.Q. Crazy Mika, along with Psycho Joe, came to Mar-a-Lago 3 nights in a row around New Year's Eve, and insisted on joining me. She was bleeding badly from a face-lift. I said no!"
"The Constitutional provision, which has never been used, can be invoked when a president has been found to be "unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office." A majority of the cabinet has to agree that the president is unable to discharge the duties of the office in order to invoke the provision. The order of events would be as follows:
  • Majority of cabinet agrees on invoking the section, submitting declaration to the President pro tempore of the Senate (Hatch) and the Speaker of the House (Ryan)
  • VP assumes powers and duties of office as Acting President
  • President can submit declaration to Hatch and Ryan that no inability exists and resumes powers and duties
  • Unless VP and majority of cabinet, within 4 days, again submit declaration to Hatch and Ryan
  • Thereupon Congress shall assemble within 48 hours to decide the issue. Congress has 21 days, after receipt of 2nd declaration, to determine if the president is unable to discharge powers and duties of the office. Decision must be made by two-thirds of both Houses.
  • VP continues to discharge duties while Congress deliberates. President resumes powers and duties if two-thirds of both Houses do not determine his inability.
  • President may again submit declaration to Hatch and Ryan. VP (then Acting President) and majority of cabinet may again submit declaration to Congress which would begin the 21-day procedure.
Following Trump's tweet Hatch tweeted, "It’s incumbent on all of us, then — from the President to Congress on down — to be responsible for our speech." along with a Time article that has his quoted saying, "Either we remain passive observers to the problem, or we endeavor to act." To which Keith Olbermann tweeted, "Then help invoke Section 4 of the 25th Amendment and remove Trump. Do it today. His irresponsible speech is destroying this country."
In a Rolling Stone article, Joe Scarborough recalls the escalating fallout they've had with Trump since 2015 and especially since the election.
